Michael J. Gatio serves as the President of Credit and Customer Services at Macy's, Inc. (formerly, Federated Department Stores Inc) and served as its President of FACS Group since July 2006. As President of FACS, Mr. Gatio leads Federated Department Stores Inc.'s credit alliance with Citigroup, telephone customer experience, Star Rewards customer loyalty program and e-commerce customer support. Mr. Gatio joined FACS in June 1989 as manager of accounts payable. He became Vice President for credit granting in 1994, vice president for FACS South (the division's hub in Clearwater, FL) in 1996 and senior vice president for credit operations in 2000, before rising to his current role as executive vice president for credit and marketing in September 2005. Mr. Gatio began his career as a management trainee at GE Capital, where he served in various capacities before joining FACS.
