Marriott Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

The interview process was good only cause it was with a pervious general manager. It my interview was with the current general manager I dont think I woulr have the job. I have seen him do interviews and they last on average about 2-3 minutes.

It’s in depth and you get to the core of what drives y

The open mind and the honesty of the manager.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Friendly and warming interview even though there is a lot of questions asked but it is still manageable.

getting to know how things work

The members of the company really understand the company mission, vision and values.

Review from Executive Dept

Quick and very concerning genuine

Review from Operations Dept

The transparency about the job

They listen to each answer and do not interupt.

They didnt ask a lot of back and fourth questions

To understand the overall practicality

I have experience and the Supervisor is real nice and easy to work with

Acceptable and curteous manager and front desk

The interviewers really try to get to know you as a person. To make sure you will be happy in the position and feel part of the team.

Review from Operations Dept

Fast moving, but almost 1 month to start, and a lot of training videos that did not involve my position, and i did not see any empathy at all, which was a whole lesson.

Review from Product Dept

1. Team interaction: Valuable to meet potential colleagues. 2. Company culture overview: Exciting to learn about values and mission. 3. Open communication

Visited the working place and got positive feedback!

The environment was made comfortable so it allowed me to focus on selling my skills.

To the point and relaxed

I do not like their interview process, it is long and very difficult

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Take your interview in the office private and not have a open wide with people coming and going and you're talking no food should be allowed in your present or drinks. It should be a be professional, courtesy and kind. Listen to one another and be general about the companies needs

Review from Customer Success Dept

To improve the interview process, I'd suggest: 1. Better representation of the company culture and actual work environment. 2. More emphasis on discussing employee expectations and support. 3. Transparency about potential challenges and difficulties in the role.

Check out the people more not to judge them by appearance only and be more thorough

Honoring your commitment to your staff

Review from Operations Dept

Being more honest instead of hiring then firing me because of my race

Review from Communications Dept

I would actually interview the person explain the job and tour the building

They were extremely understaffed and hearing back from them was excruciating even though they clearly indicated I was hired.

During the interview the AGM parades me around and tells everyone "isn't she pretty to bring in business?" Thats not what I signed up for, i have a certificate in hospitality that values me at way more than a pretty face.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Make the benefits clear and don’t post promotions if you’re not willing to honor them and don’t forget to treat the employees like fellow human

Making sure they have the right experience for the job and look up to par with Marriott, have better looking staff.

The manager didn't care, some people were hired on spot without checking if the candidates were telling the truth

Review from Sales Dept

Proper interview to be done

More knowledgeable people conducting the interviews.

I believe they should be more transparent, it felt like a trap. They told you nice things and that it would be easy but they lied and dont tell you the whole truth just so they can get you in. It's why nobody stays and everyone quits.

Well, firstly they should have the knowledge of what is being spoken to take the interview.

Review from Operations Dept

You apply with all the qualifications and they don't even offer you the initial interview.

HR who are intelligent and not spell name wrong

Actually train interviewers & hire recruiters vs. using a 3rd party who know nothing about the actual jobs

nothing fair..they only prefer to get their reference

Review from Customer Success Dept

Take personality test. Place you where your strengths are strongest. And help improve your weaknesses.
