Massage Envy Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

i get a service every month

Most spas don't offer as many benefits as my location does. Medical, dental, 401K, and many bonus opportunities to earn more. I am a full time therapist and make over $80,000 per year.

There was none except a free monthly service

Recieving fully compensated services bi-monthly

Service benefits and discounted products

We have the best healthcare plan around.

Growth opportunities and great benefits

The 401 k is decent

It is fair and rewarding.

I love massage envy the benefit and how flex able the schedual was to my needs

Review from Operations Dept

Paid time off, holidays off.

Review from Operations Dept

the new scale that was implemented

Review from Product Dept

We don't have any real compensation package.

Review from Operations Dept

i get compensated a standard amount, and then tipped by customers as well. i feel that it is adequate compensation.

Review from Operations Dept

They stress you sell memberships, but you get 7 dollars for each membership you sell.

Review from Sales Dept

Getting the free hour service every month

Review from Sales Dept

I get paid more than the average starting out when working for a franchise chain

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The level at which you can gain benefits is not achievable by most employees without significant burn out. Which then puts you under the required hours and you lose said benefits. Lowering the required full time hours would help. Having payroll done correctly would also help.

Better pay and maybe giving back by getting lunch every now and then

Review from Operations Dept

I'm esthetician with years under my belt and I get paid less than the massage therapists, I am treated so disrespectfully as well as the rest of the staff. They make us feel very expendable, I am constantly running out of supplies and having to wait weeks to get supplies I need.

Review from Operations Dept

I feel like I'm only there to make money for the franchise owners. They don't seem to value their employees for anything more than their ability to generate revenue.

They need to do better

Pay that is fair in relation to experience, loyalty and business that I bring

Review from Customer Success Dept

I feel undervalued because no matter how hard your trying to meet the goals. It feels like it is never enough. If you do meet said goals there is no reward due to only annual raises. Starting pay is only $11. Expect you to take extra time out of your life with no appreciation in said environment.

Only annual raises. Starting at 11 dollars an hour for Front Desk Assiociates . Expect your life to revolve around your job. Expect to meet sales goals with no reward in return.

I was promised a raise and never received it. When I mentioned it to the franchisee I was ignored

When they pay me all my vacation.

Better pay, better healthcare and more realistic work expectations

Review from Sales Dept

$11.50/hr is not enough for anyone in America to live off of.

Review from Customer Success Dept

I am more concerned about being treated as a human being.

Review from Operations Dept

My managing team requested I cut my hours (due to unproductive time, despite having a 68% rebook rate pre-covid) and then brought on one of their recently licensed managers as a new hire, at 60 hrs/wk. The nepotism is real, and experience doesn't matter.

Review from Sales Dept

More money higher hourly pay rate

Review from Sales Dept

ME pay structure is such that therapists must rely on tips for 50% of a livable income. Their main selling point is discount services for membership. Those two factors add up to worker exploitation and most people never realize or appreciate how little we’

Review from Operations Dept

Having gone to school for a trade, our time should be taken more seriously. Massage envy does not pay for the time that you are not booked, but mandate you to stay on an empty schedule.

Review from Admin Dept

I feel undervalued because I’ve reported multiple issues about my other front desk co workers and nothing has been done. I’m tired of the managers giving me tasks

Review from Sales Dept

I felt undervalued because there needs to be no false promises made

manage better rewards for highly talented workers
