Massage Envy Outlook Employee Reviews

What makes you most happy at work?

I get to see my favorite coworkers, sometimes favorite clients.

Seeing the clients and my co workers. I enjoy staying to myself because I am always booked, but I like a small hello and conversation every now and then.

Review from Product Dept

I just love being a massage therapist for a living

Peaceful environment with reapect for one another

Taking care of a wide variety of clients and not having to stress about filling my books.

my coworkers and clients make it amazing

Seeing peoples happy and relieved faces

I like working with my clients. Nothing more than that.

When a new client comes in and we connect, they then go in for a massage or facial and come out and sign up for our wellness program and book a monthly massage/facial with 1 of our fantastic therapist/ESTY to continue on a healthy wellness program.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Management and training other than memberships

The constant turn around at the company has lead to many clients being frustrated and canceling memberships and the lack of communication with lack of an in house manager has employees at a loss when issues arise. An email does not help with a problem needing solved at the front desk in that moment.

The management team is broken therefore, business cannot flow properly bad business equals no cloents or employees for that matter. The employee turnover rate is ridiculous, as well as the amount of inactive memberships they have And why there's no respect from management for anyone

The company is so unprofessional and unhelpful

Review from Operations Dept

They need to work on management

Employees need higher pay, PTO, benefits and room to grow

Review from Customer Success Dept

My personal information was shared to the company without my knowledge. Do not discrimate an employee on personal problems and issues that do occur.

Take better care of customer. Focus on the service rather than the sales.

Better management that has actually been trained. Better communication across the board. Policies need to change to allow customers to receive what they paid for. Everyone needs a pay raise to at least earn their work's worth.

Review from Sales Dept

We are completely booked a month and a half in advance due to other massage envys in the area being understaffed.

The owner and management. They cant keep employees because of the way they talk to people and pay is low

Review from Sales Dept

I need a new manager.

Review from Operations Dept

My rebook rate has been consistently above average, and my retail numbers are excellent, but I was asked to half my hours (thus disqualifying me from receiving benefits management knows I desperately need) to allow a recently licensed prior manager to work overtime.

Review from Sales Dept

Mgmt. needs to take responsibility and show up. Stop blaming others for problems you create. Admit and apologize when you?

Review from Operations Dept

We need better pay and more consideration

Review from Admin Dept

Need new management and new staff

As a person who has worked in customer service, I pride myself on creating great customer relations. However, the manager gets into screaming arguments with guests in the lobby in front of other guests.

Review from Sales Dept

The unit manager screams at guests and has caused several scenes in the lobby.

Review from Sales Dept

Employer doesn’t seem to care a

What do you like best about your company?

free massages all the employees recieve

The fact that we are able to help so many people out every day with things like pain or injuries they have sustained. Making a difference in their lives makes it all worthwhile.

Management who know the profession

What would you most like to see improved at your company?

most improved would be management

Attitude is probably number one. Training is number two
