Out of 541 Matic employee reviews, 96% were positive. The remaining 4% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping Matic improve their work culture. Down to earth, understanding, motivating, I feel comfortable reaching out to ANY of the leaders no matter where they are on the totem pole.

They are very communicative and like to make things clear and easy to understand
Review from Sales Dept
Our whole leadership team has an open door policy. Everyone is very transparent and communicates the ups and downs in the business.
The leadership team communicates openly about the company's goals.
The leadership team trusts its employees and is proactive in communicating our goals to the overall company.
They need to have more insurance experience.

Leadership is responsible for the negative workplace culture especially with its remote hired. The CEO and executives are directly responsible for tremendous turnover and lack of overall employee satisfaction. The CEO seems to be cold and cares only about moving company public

I get a livable base salary with the opportunity to make a heck of a lot more! But even in months I don't hit the bonuses, I am still comfortable financially.

Working remotely is a huge perk! Additionally, the company has covered our healthcare premiums, which is remarkable in this market.
Free benefits, open lines of communication with managers regarding comp
Free benefit premiums, stock equity, HSA
The stock options I received as a new employee are a big potential upside. We also get fully paid medical for ourselves, and well subsidized for our families.
401k matching would be nice. The options are cool as long as we go public. The high co-pay for benefits force me to wait on some medical issues.
The base pay is about 2 dollars under the market average. The bonus structure is great though.
Bonus structure is too hard to obtain and hourly is too low compared with lack of benefits
Matic has one of the lowest base salarys in the industry. It is laughable and disrespectful. They take advantage of sales agents production and the CEO has created a company that pushes metrics over people. The company also manipulates reviews and opinions of its CEO
I don't receive any benefits for my position

We are all super friendly and helpful towards each other, if anyone has a question you can ask your neighbor and they will help you out! And if you are ever struggling personally with life or other things, we always have each others backs
Review from Sales Dept
Our team is intelligence, driven, and fun to be around. Everyone feels comfortable "bringing their weird" and being themselves.
They are brilliant & I look forward to working with them every day.
My team cares for one another, and I look forward to seeing them. Also, they are brilliant!
Everyone is mission orientated so that makes solving problems at easier
Overall this is a "ME" environment. Small attempts are made to make it seem team oriented but the sales role is nothing but.
Matics co workers are spread across the country. It is a remote environment and no one cares about anyone as its every man and woman for themselves in the sales agency. Messages get no response and coworkers are only focused on themselves
Review from Sales Dept
Even though this is a sales role, everybody is always willing to jump in and help. My coworkers truly want me to succeed.

We all have each others backs and everyone always wants to be your friend. Everyone is always super helpful and even if they aren't related to the problem, they will always help out!

The collaborative culture, flexibility, and great benefits. My team is committed to doing quality work and having fun together. My manager is invested in my growth and development.
everyone is mission orientated and positive
Being that we have a lot of sales folk at Matic, everyone is very conversational and people-oriented. It makes it a welcoming environment.
The fabric and morals of this company need to be destroyed and rebuilt. The companies systems and lack of morals from upper management is the cause of its high turnover, disengagement and weak company culture
They kept it basically fully in line and never really got off track, and were really understanding and resourceful throughout the interview!
Review from Sales Dept
It was a fast process, and the recruiter kept me in the loop the entire time.
I liked being able to meet members of my team, and I thought it was nice my future teammates emailed me to welcome me to the company before I started.
The ability to discuss the role with multiple department heads was fantastic. As a director, I work across our business teams and getting their perspectives helped me understand how best to support other teams.
The interview process is thorough and gives you a chance to meet stakeholders outside of your org that you would be working with most.
The interview process should be more truthful and limit the sugar coating that is done to attract employees
Finding better policies for customers! They are usually very appreciative of how easy the process is and most importantly that we are able to save them money.

Seeing my team succeed on a daily basis.
My coworkers make the best part of my day, I love going in and talking to all of my co workers!
Review from Sales Dept
Working with smart, driven, and kind people, having a manager that is invested in my career, and being given autonomy and flexibility to make decisions.
I love the flexibility and getting to work with some amazing teammates.
Upper management and directos are purely motivated to go public in order to fatten their wallets. They continue to use their agents as pawns in this financial game of checkers. Company is not profitable and hides the true financial condition of the company from its employees.
Leadership has a sever problem with retaining employees. Instead of fixing problems they continue to hire and AVOID the issues. Not only do sales agents leave but those in other areas are also leaving. The culture of OKRs is obsessive and toxic.
