Mattress Firm Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

We have a safety net as sleep experts/sales individuals. We get 1.5 x minimum wage no matter what we sell or do along with UNCAPPED commissions. You keep every piece of every sale no matter how much you make.

Honestly, not much anymore I’m afra

Retirement plan is a really good perk

Good comission percentages and pay structure.

Retirement 401k with company matching even for part time employees

Extremly generous im sleeping in money

100k+ easy. Commission is very solid.

I am in 100% control of my pay

It really offers everything you coukd want or need

Insurance has something to be desired, its overpriced imho.

Easy to use. Fairly even benifits

Great comp plan. Work hard, get paid!

Review from Sales Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I've not been offered any other options but a paycheck. There are other things?

Review from Sales Dept

I shouldn’t have to watch like a ha

Stop making it harder and harder to make money. They've reduced margins/ increased costs/taken away bonuses.

Review from Sales Dept

commissions should be higher, hours lower, and base pay greater.

I feel undervalued because they fake appreciate the work i do and they planned on getting rid of all their black employees they show favoritism towards the Hispanics and don't care for people of color

Because of comissions and margin is so low which barely makes us excited to work hard

Long hours. A lot is asked for no really difference in pay. Poor support for angry guests who are furious about return policy fees. As long as mattress firm gets their money they don't care what happens to you and higher ups don't have to deal with it. Numbers are all that matter.

When you have been at the company for over 10 years I feel your taken advantage of on the compensation, there is no negotiating it's just take it or leave it. And if your smart and compare to market you see the difference

Every employee used to have the opportunity to bonus based on store/district performance, but now a majority of sales associates are excluded from the monthly bonuses. I've been pretty mentally checked out since then,

Commissions are constantly lowered while prices keep going up. We work more and make less and less money.

Not getting bonus incentives which I used to get.

One on one meetings and going over my sales matrix

New sop not allowing us to be sales people now we are robots with no creativity or individuality to be and feel professional

They expect a lot and are always cutting your pay.

Mattress Firm has 120 price guarantee so you have to refund customers if there is a sale so they just take it out of your next check. They also make you work extended hours every holiday because you are exempt from over time and it does not cost them anything because they know it wont cost them.

Commission is trash. You make the smallest amount Off an expensive item just for it too go to the company rather thanks employee.

Less hours, more pay. Please.

I'm valued but your benefits package leaves me with little money after buying the benes

Not changing so frequently or if you make change how about it be im the benefit of the employee. We only get paid of finalized business. I find it unfair because sercixe are rendered ounce the customer pays. Plus inventory restraints are not of our control.

Higher quality and less expensive benefits, better work/life balance.
