Menemsha Development Bidding/Estimating Department Employee Reviews

I have enjoyed my time at Menemsha so far. My only criticism would be the project management and executive staff could take a little more of the responsibility in a loss. Feels like my position is a punching bag win or lose. Not really a problem, but can be taxing at times on morale.

My time at Menemsha has been a very positive experience. There are areas that I feel could be improved upon. Mainly with internal communication and also, being challenged more. I have asked to be familiar with other aspects of what we as a company do and it has fallen on deaf ears. I'm grateful

They care about the work and it shows through their instruction and their passion for the projects.

They are goal-oriented, always eager to have a diverse clientele and on the whole, work well as a team

Open communication, they welcome ideas

There is a very public mentality that everyone is expendable. To some degree this should be a factor, but it should not be the leading idea. Your employees should feel as important as they are to the company - both need each other equally and good talent & experience are difficult to find

The 401k match, the discount hub, and the paid sick time are all things I've never had with any company I've worked for.

Fairly good healthcare, vision, dental, and they do offer a 401k package that has a 1/2 of 4% match from employer

The energy in the office is always at a high level and fun

There is an open door policy and they often times will vocalize areas that I as an employee could approve upon but also showcase my strengths/successes

Ability to support each other on big projects

It feels like everyone is working towards a collective goal. Everyone wants to win projects on every level and it helps me want to hit the phones a little harder.

There is a relaxed attitude on speech and dress that provides some sort of feeling of freedom which is appreciated from a majority of the employees

They really seem to care about one another and more importantly, the company as a whole. It is overall a conducive atmosphere to work in

The freedom to work at my own pace and add my own spin on what I'm doing. Less robotic and more proactive.

The challenge/opportunity of being apart of securing opportunities and seeing the finish product (completed projects) that I have been involved with. Those aspects are incredibly rewarding

Being able to work in a calm, moderate paced work environment!
