Leadership team is concerned about our safety, but they don't seem to care that we feel valued, because if they did, they would fight for us

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Open door policy, always nice and approachable.

What makes you most happy at work?

Appreciation from my patients, and taking care of their newborns

What are some of the best things about your team?

Teamwork! Always willing to help when you need another nurse for something

What did you like most about the interview process?

Casual, calm, accepting. They asked me about me, and asked me for suggestions

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

most nurses are there because they want to be; we care about our patients, and do our best to make sure they are safe and cared for properly

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

We nurses work long, hard emotional shifts, sometimes acting as counselors for our patients, sometimes crying on our shoulders, emotionally and physically supporting these new moms...sometimes hard physical labor, crawling under tables to plug IV poles and SCDs in. I feel undervalued.
