A lot of talk about it being a "ministry" but it's not backed up. Decision making is all over the place. Strategic planning changes on a weekly if not daily basis

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Too many MGMT meetings. Need to be more available. Need to find ways to lower expenses and find ways to encourage staff. Need to find ways to stop firing and eliminating positions.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I know what others in roles above mine make and I know how salary is calculated. I work 60 hour weeks and make hundreds of thousands less than they do. That seems unjust.

My insurance, deductibles, coinsurance goes up more than annual raises. I don't really earn enough to get by financially. I'd love to be able to afford a place to live in a better part of town.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone helps each other and truly wants to do that. We all feel like family and want only the best for one another. There is something special that I just do not feel elsewhere and if you do not have it, you will not last long.

candidates must get through a screening "talent" assessment which causes a lot of applicants to not get through for one-on-one interview and assessment. This assessment doesn't seem to be as accurate or helpful as the senior HR leaders feel it is

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
It can be improved by transferring staff in eliminated positions into another position. Rather than firing them. This happens too frequently and Mercy is not a stable place to work. Stop the Firing Squad.
