Underpaid. Good PTO program. Good insurance. Although your PTO is frequently denied. Have to ask off a month in advance in some departments. Management is too busy, in a meeting and Unavailable. MGMT needs to learn to encourage staff.

What are some of the best things about your team?
Mercy has some wonderful people. Truly caring. We certainly don't work here for the pay.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Too many MGMT meetings. Need to be more available. Need to find ways to lower expenses and find ways to encourage staff. Need to find ways to stop firing and eliminating positions.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My insurance, deductibles, coinsurance goes up more than annual raises. I don't really earn enough to get by financially. I'd love to be able to afford a place to live in a better part of town.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
It can be improved by transferring staff in eliminated positions into another position. Rather than firing them. This happens too frequently and Mercy is not a stable place to work. Stop the Firing Squad.
