We nurses work long, hard emotional shifts, sometimes acting as counselors for our patients, sometimes crying on our shoulders, emotionally and physically supporting these new moms...sometimes hard physical labor, crawling under tables to plug IV poles and SCDs in. I feel undervalued.

The benefits use to be amazing. Until St John's merged with mercy. Literally there is not one perk to working at mercy that makes it a plus to work there over other hospitals.

Employee opinions are not taken into consideration. For the amount of times that we work understaffed or are asked to consistently complete more tasks for the same pay...we should have a pay raise!
