Micro Center is a great company to work at, and despite the few things I wish were different, it's an overall very positive work environment, especially for a retail position.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My coworkers are friendly, cooperative, and show a care for their jobs.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They genuinely care about the store and us as workers, and they take the time and effort to make the store a welcoming environment.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The employees have care for one another that goes beyond just a standard level of acquaintance, and it makes for a positive work environment.
What makes you most happy at work?
Being able to do my job well and go above and beyond to serve customers' needs, as well as being given the opportunity to make commission.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The base hourly rate at Micro Center is not competitive with other major retailers in NYC. Additionally, I have extra daily responsibilities beyond the standard duties of a CSR, responsibilities which I acquired over time of showing effort. For this, I believe I should be compensated fairly.
