Mixpanel Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The entire compensation package is very good

Review from Design Dept

Transparent, on time and clear

Review from Sales Dept

reimbursements other than salary and process

Review from Marketing Dept

Salary ranges are fair and good

Review from Marketing Dept

WFH reimbursement and wellness benefits

Review from Legal Dept

number of days of paid time off leaves,

Review from Operations Dept

Transparent, matches industry standards, and I know the ins and outs - no ambiguity.

Review from Sales Dept

Learning stipend, wellness fund and work from home stipend. There's also generous LTO, VTO, and PTO but most people don't use LTO and VTO.

Review from Sales Dept

the compensation for deals is super fair.

Review from Sales Dept

Nothing in particular. It's is what I'd expect for my role/level. I appreciate that I am able to work anywhere in the US and enjoy SF-based compensation. I should probably move somewhere cheaper so compensation goes further.

Review from IT Dept

The hybrid work from home/workplace

Review from Sales Dept

all the perks time off sabbatical

Review from HR Dept

Competitive pay for my job and level and also the added benefits like our wellness benefit, learning and volunteer time off, and others are great.

Review from HR Dept

I work longer days than I should because our systems arent as efficient and developed as they need to be

Review from Finance Dept

Equity and some of the perks i.e., monthly WFH stipend.

Review from Legal Dept

Pretty generous PTO, love the LTO and VTO

Review from Customer Support Dept

Benefits and balance between work and personal life

Review from Customer Success Dept

Comissions, WLB, and wellness days

Review from Sales Dept

wellness stipend, health care benefits

Review from Product Dept

quarterly paid bonuses that have been paid out even when the company isn't doing so well

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I'm constantly at the lower end of the pay scale and I don't think there is effort to get me to median atleast

Review from IT Dept

I am given KPI's that no one can achieve, which I meant to lose the variable. My salary does not increase, but only the work scope increases every year.

Review from Sales Dept

I am asked to do a 3 person job (because the company has now reduced headcount in our team even though we're struggling) and have been very successful apart from my other colleagues and yet there has been no recognition and no rewards and my pay is well below par

Review from Sales Dept

Benefits and perks are fair. However, when it comes to salaries, they are misaligned between the same roles and seniority. Kind of unfair.

Review from Sales Dept

I believe my skill and knowledge are not reflected in my compensation, especially after pay transparency made it more obvious and unfair. There are also similar or lower roles in the market that are paying higher which really adds to the feeling of being undervalued. Inflation only makes this worse.

Review from Finance Dept

Level of experience, cost of living

Review from Finance Dept

The more I do, the more work and scope is passed on, and I feel underappreciated or undercompensated.

Review from Sales Dept

I am in a role that consistently feels undermined and I know that I'm not the only one that feels this way. I would feel better about my compensation if I knew that I could trust my growth to be properly managed.

Review from Design Dept

People doing the same job as me in the US get paid 40-50% more than me

Review from Customer Success Dept

The cost of living in the bay and inflation rates are skyrocketing. Raises and compensation are not matching those.

Review from Engineering Dept

I was hoping to be considered for a promotion and a raise, but manager volatility basically eliminated that possibility, as no one person had a holistic view of my performance over the half.

Review from Product Dept

Compensation bands don't make sense and are below industry standard based on 2 minutes of Googling comparable roles. Goal posts move on compensation increases. HR, Finance, and Managers aren't aligned on comp. The comp we offer for senior IC roles makes it challenging to attract top talent.

Review from Sales Dept

Unclear progression path, poor Territory planning, favoritism and restructuring comp plans unfairly

Review from Sales Dept

More equity. The cash piece is fine, but I think our rigid refresh policy that doesn't take into account current FMV (especially for cases where the option strike price is higher than FMV) is unfair

Review from Product Dept

Unpaid based on my skills, knowledge, and experience.

Review from Finance Dept

If our targets were reachable and/or the pay structure was changed. It feels like people aren't paying enough attention to the fact that deal size has shrunk significantly and deal cycles are longer. This, coupled with the market, impacts our pay and ability to close larger deals.

Review from Sales Dept

The base salary is fair, but the BCR rate is lower than the average in the industry. I would feel more valued if our BCR rate is higher per deal sold.

Review from Sales Dept

A failure to recognize strong work and the impact on the long-term business goals.

Review from Design Dept

It would be beneficial to align compensation with experience levels. While I understand the desire to maintain salary consistency, it's worth acknowledging that having more experience equips individuals to take on a broader range of tasks independently.

Review from Finance Dept

With so many changes across the the org and different department, I don't feel fairly compensated for my title, especially in this industry. These changes also disrupted promotional tracks. Nor do I feel like they keep up with inflation.
