The manager that hired me made it clear what the workplace was like and what to expect. He asked different questions than usual interviews to get a better feel for my work ethics and personality traits. Unfortunately that manager no longer works here.

I met directly with the GM of my store, she connected with me and let me know right then that she liked me and I was hired. It did not last long and I could tell the GM was a real person, not a person in a suit wondering if I was good enough and judging me on my past, only on what I could bring.
