Q&A With Modus Hotels Employees

Asked to all employees at Modus Hotels

  • I worked for one of the Philadelphia properties a few years back and felt the need to write this review to give some of my former co-workers a voice. They would not post their experiences in fear of being blackballed in the industry by the Area General Manager (AGM). I am no longer working in hotels or the city, so I cannot be affected by his influence. In the beginning I enjoyed my experience there, but things changed over time. The AGM would make off-color comments during stand up, which being a female, I took offense too. He would also target and berate 2-3 manager during my time there, humiliating them in front of the rest of the managers on a daily basis. Most of the time the managers would laugh once he left the room, but you could tell they were affected. You could say his management style was a cross between Negan and Ted Bundy; unfortunately, this is not a joke. It was a weekly occurrence where I would find a manger in his/her office completely exasperated and/or crying afte
