Mr. Kal Raman has been Chief Digital Officer of Samsung Electronics America, Inc. since February 2016. Mr. Raman leads the Samsung's e-commerce business. He has more than 20 years of experience in technology and retail businesses and has an extensive record of leadership at innovative, consumer-focused technology companies, including Groupon, eBay and Amazon. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Xome Inc since July 2015. Mr. Raman served as Chief Executive Officer of Solutionstar Holdings LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nationstar Mortgage Holdings Inc. since November 2014 until July 2015. Mr. Raman served as the Chief Executive Officer of Solutionstar Settlement Services LLC since November 4, 2014. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Groupon's Asia Pacific region from August 2014 to November 2014, Groupon's Chief Operating Officer from August 2012 to August 2014 and Senior Vice President of Americas from May 2012 to August 2012. Since April 2012, he served as Vice President of Global Fulfillment at eBay Inc. and served as its Consultant from December 2011 to March 2012. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of KUE Digital (which was renamed and incorporated as Global Scholar) from October 2006 to February 2007. From October 2006 to September 2011, Mr. Raman held various leadership roles at Global Scholar (an enterprise education software company), where he served as the Chief Executive Officer from February 2007 to September 2011. From 2004 to 2006, he served as Senior Vice President of WW Hardlines, Marketing, Retail Technology for Amazon.com., where he led its retail technology and marketing units and was responsible for driving the company's global non-media business for retailers and sellers. Mr. Raman served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of drugstore. He also served in various management roles at Drugstore.com, Blockbuster, LLC and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. He has served in executive leadership roles at several of the biggest online retailers in the world. He has been a Director of BigCommerce Pty. Ltd. since January 2015. Mr. Raman holds a Bachelor of Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India.
