Executive Bio

Mr. Steve Covington has been Executive Vice President and Chief Risk and Compliance Officer of Nationstar Mortgage Holdings Inc. since August 14, 2015 and January 2018 respectively. Mr. Covington served as Chief Compliance Officer of Nationstar Mortgage Holdings Inc. from July 2015 to January 2018. He served as Executive Director of Morgan Stanley's residential mortgage risk management unit. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Steve was a Senior Vice President of Residential Mortgage and Director of Quality Control and Compliance at First Horizon Home Loans and Fleet Mortgage Corporation. He also spent over a decade as a Federal banking regulator at the OCC, FDIC and OTS. He has over 32 years of mortgage industry experience. He holds a MBA in Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas and BS in Banking and Finance from the University of South Carolina.
