Executive Bio
Bob spearheaded the founding of The Griswold Company in 1988. He also orchestrated its transformation from a traditional two-dollar broker into a large, sophisticated, technologically advanced, Direct Access agency execution firm. Griswold serves both prominent buy-side institutions and many developing organizations, with unrivaled efficiency. Bob currently serves on the New York Stock Exchange Board of Executives, which he was appointed to in December 2003. Bob served eight terms as a New York Stock Exchange Floor Official, and two terms as a Senior Floor Official. Bob currently serves on the Exchange's Market Performance, Market Information, Diversity and Continuing Education committees. He has also served on the Allocations, Hearing Board, Governor Selection, Decimalization and Dual Quotations committees. He is past President of the Alliance of Floor Brokers and past President and Trustee of its Floor Member Emergency Fund. Additionally, he previously served as a member of the Trading Issues Committee of the Securities Traders Association. In 2000, he was elected to the prestigious National Organization of Investment Professionals. He has testified before Congress about market structure and Reg NMS, including twice before the House Committee on Financial Services and once before the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. A regular guest on CNBC, Bob is often quoted in The Wall Street Journal and other news outlets covering stock market activity. Bob is a member of the Board of Directors of Iona Preparatory School, his alma mater, and of the St. Vincent's Hospital, Westchester. He is active in numerous other charitable organizations in New York. A graduate of The College of Holy Cross, Bob holds Series 7, 12, 24 and 63 licenses. He lives in Westchester County, New York, with his wife and six children.
