Frequently Asked Questions About National Football League (NFL)

  • Thank you for contacting NFL Digital Care regarding Fantasy waiver priority in the playoffs.

During the fantasy playoffs, waiver priority is set to a rolling order, and successful claims move users to the "back of the line." Waiver priority no longer resets to the inverse order of standings on Tuesdays.

  • Adding and Dropping

    Process

To begin the add or drop process, select the plus or minus icon next to the player in the following locations:

From the player list accessed by selecting the Add or Drop link at the top of the MY TEAM tab of the site tab

From the player card accessed by selecting the player's name anywhere in the app or site

From your MY TEAM page or Team app section (drop only)

Available players are either free agents or "on the waiver wire". When using the process initiated with the above instructions, free agents are added immediately. All other players are locked "on waivers" and may be added after the "waiver period" (see below).

Added players are placed on the bench.

Note that in most leagues players lock in position at game time or on waivers when they are dropped.

    Undroppable Players

To promote fair play and prevent actions that compromise the integrity of the fantasy game, NFL.com maintains a list of players that can be benched or traded, but cannot be dropped from any roster. The Undroppable Players list is in the PLAYERS tab and can be disabled for Custom Leagues.

Commissioners can not create their own undroppable list

    Waivers

The waiver wire (or waivers) is the list of available players who are locked from being added to teams for a period of time (called the "waiver period") in order to give all teams in a league a chance to add them.

Waiver wire players (or players "on waivers") are awarded to the team owner with the highest waiver priority to have laid a claim on the player (added) by the time the waiver period expires. In Waiver Acquisition Budget (WAB) custom leagues, waiver wire players are awarded to the team owners who place the highest bid on the players by the time the waiver period expires.

If a player on the waiver wire is not claimed during the waiver period, he becomes a free agent and may be added immediately by anyone. Submitted waiver claims are noted in team notes in the MY TEAM tab.

Waivers can be managed in the app by pressing the "Waivers" button on the TEAM page of your league.

    Waiver Period

Typically, players lock on the waiver wire after the draft, at game time, or when a player is dropped from a roster. For undrafted or dropped players, the waiver period begins overnight after going undrafted or being dropped. For players who lock on the waiver wire at game time, the waiver period begins overnight after the final game of the weekend concludes.

Default waiver periods last one day, but Custom Leagues can have up to 4 day waiver periods or no waivers at all. To detail an example, in a default-settings league, the waiver period after a game weekend would begin overnight from Monday to Tuesday, then Tuesday would be the one day waiver period, then waivers would process overnight Tuesday to Wednesday.

    Waiver Order

The default waiver order, or the order of priority of teams acquiring a player on the waiver wire, is at first the inverse of the draft order but then resets on Tuesdays to the inverse order of league standings. A successful waiver claim moves a team to the back of the waiver order through the week until the aforementioned reset.

Custom Leagues can have a waiver order that does not reset to the inverse order of the standings on Tuesdays. This is called "Move to Last After Claim". A successful waiver claim moves a team to the back of the waiver order under this setting as well.

In the playoffs in any league, the waiver order never resets based on inverse order of standings.

Waiver settings are found in the "Settings" tab of theLEAGUEpage. A team's waiver priority is displayed in parenthesis on the MY TEAM page and next to the team's win/loss streak in the Standings area of the league homepage.

    Trading

To begin the trade process, select the trade icon (opposing arrows) next to a desired player in the following locations:

From the player's owner's Team Page on desktop

From the player list accessed by selecting the PLAYERS tab on desktop

From the player list accessed by selecting the Trade link at the top of the MY TEAM tab

From the player card accessed by selecting the player's name anywhere in the game, including the app

Include comments and submit (or cancel) in the subsequent Review Trade Proposal page. Submitted trades appear in the team notes above the roster in the MY TEAM page, and a notification is sent via email to the other team owner. You can also view them using the "Trades" button on theTEAM page of the NFL Fantasy Football app.

Select "View Trade" in the MY TEAM page then "Cancel Trade" button in order to withdraw a trade offer before it is accepted. This can also be done using the "Trades" button in the app as well.

    Default Trading Rules

No maximum number of trades in a season

The league voting period is 2 full days, beginning overnight at the end of the day the trade is accepted.

Pending trades appear on Team Pages; owners select "View Trade" to vote for or against a trade

Overturning trades via voting requires a league majority, including traders

Once the trade review period expires and a majority has not voted to veto, the players switch rosters, unless...

Starting players locked at game time may not switch rosters, so if the trade review period carries into a game weekend, the trade will process after the weekend

Custom Trade Rule Options in Addition to Default Settings Above

Trade Review Powers: Commissioner Veto, League Vote (by team owners), or None

    Trade Review Period: 1-4 days

    Trade Deadline

Trades are only allowed until your league's trade deadline, which can be adjusted in Custom Leagues and is found in the league settings page. The default setting for Custom Leagues is no trade deadline. The default trade deadline for NFL-Managed Leagues is November 22.

    Trading Block

The Trading Block, accessible by a link in the MY TEAM page, is where team owners communicate roster needs using the following categories:

On The Block - Players a team owner is willing to trade

Untouchable - Players a team owner is not willing to trade

Interested -Positions at which a team owner is looking to improve

Available - Positions at which a team owner is flexible

    Notes

    Depth Charts

Depth Charts, accessible from the top of the LEAGUE page, are snapshots of league rosters on a single page with links to propose trades and send emails. Players are listed in order of cumulative fantasy production. Players in bold are current starters.

Trading Draft Picks (custom league option)

Custom keeper leagues can allow trades of draft picks by keeping track of agreements made the previous season and having them reflect using the Custom Draft Board. Any trade should have the same number of draft picks swapped between teams, because each team must exit the draft with the same number of players.

    B) Join A League: After you become a Registered User, you may join a Live Draft League or an Autopick League (defined below) anytime during the Registration Period by visiting Chargers.com and selecting a league from the provided list. Only leagues with available slots will be made available to you. All leagues are required to have ten (10) participants, or team "owners" in order to draft (outlined below).

In order to ensure your league's season starts with the first day of the 2019 NFL regular season, you must sign up by 9/3/19 and your draft (defined below) must be completed by midnight on 9/3/19. The league start date for any drafts completed after 8:20 PM EDT on 9/5/19 will be the first complete NFL week of games after your draft. The last day of scheduled game play is 12/23/19.

    C) Draft Team Players; Live Draft Leagues or Autopick Draft Leagues:

To acquire players for your team you must participate in a draft, the type of draft is determined by the type of league you joined. If you joined a Live Draft League then you will select your players via standard or auction format during a pre-scheduled online draft, which may take three (3) to four (4) hours to complete. If you joined an Autopick Draft League then NFL.com will process your draft for you. Follow the instructions on the league directory page accessible via http://fantasy.nfl.com to prepare your team for drafting and mark your team as ready to be drafted. Once your team is marked as ready to be drafted, NFL.com will process your draft.

    Live Draft Overview:

During a Live Draft, all ten (10) team owners in your league will log in to an online "draft room" at a scheduled time/date. You will be sent your scheduled draft room date/time in an email (at the email address provided during registration) following your Live Draft League selection. The Live Draft is extremely fast-paced and recommended for experienced owners. You may join either a Standard or Auction draft format league. See "Live Draft Instructions" section below.

    Autopick Draft Overview:

During an Autopick Draft, all ten (10) team owners must participate. If you are a beginner, and/or are unable to schedule a block of three (3) or four (4) hours for a Live Draft, you may prefer to participate in an Autopick Draft league. If you choose an Autopick Draft League, at your convenience prior to the draft, simply arrange players, using a Pre-Draft Ranking List provided by NFL.com, in the order that you'd like those players selected for your team. The Autopick Draft is then processed using your list. The highest-ranked player on your list who is available, and fits the roster needs of your team, will be selected for you during each round of the Autopick Draft. See "Autopick Draft Instructions" for the appropriate draft format section below.

    STANDARD DRAFT

Leagues with a standard draft format rely on a draft order with specified time limit per pick to draft a team of players.

    Live Draft Instructions:

After you join a Live Draft League, you will have the opportunity to make changes to NFL.com's default Rank List, which is a list of all NFL players that are eligible to be drafted, ranked from best to worst by our Fantasy experts. You will be able to make changes to your draft list up until thirty (30) minutes before your draft is scheduled to begin.

It is recommended that you, prior to your Live Draft, organize the Rank List according to your own player preferences. However, you are welcome to leave the Rank List in the order our experts have provided. During the live draft, NFL.com will use your Rank List as a backup in case your time limit expires before you make a pick (explained below).

On your scheduled draft day there will be an "Enter Draft" link on your League home page. This link will allow entry into the draft room. The order of the Live Draft will be randomly generated thirty (30) minutes before the Live Draft is scheduled to begin. If your league does not have ten (10) team owners at draft time, your league will be disbanded and each owner will have to join another league.

In the draft room, you will be able to place NFL players into a Draft Queue - which is simply a list of players, in order of priority, that you are interested in taking with your next draft pick. When it is your turn to pick, you will have ninety (90) seconds to draft a player. If the ninety (90) seconds pass and you have not manually selected a player, the player ranked highest in your Draft Queue will be automatically drafted. If the Draft Queue is empty, a pick will then be made from your Rank List. In such a case, the highest rated player from the Rank List will be drafted unless that position is filled in which case the next best available option, at an available position, will be drafted. The draft order will "snake" at the end of each round, meaning that the team with the last pick in the current round will have the first pick in the next round.

You can find additional information on Standard Draft format in our Fantasy Help section at http://nfl.com/fantasy/help.

    Autopick Draft Instructions:

If you choose to create an Autopick Draft team, you will have the opportunity to pre-rank all eligible NFL players prior to being placed in a league any time prior to the commencement of your draft (“Pre-Draft Period”). You will rank the players in a single, comprehensive Pre-Draft Rankings list in the order of your preference, with the player you would most like to draft first on the list, and so on. You also have the opportunity to specify which NFL position(s) you want selected from your ranking list by clicking the “Edit Preferred Positions” link and choosing your preferred positions on a per-pick basis. As in the Live Draft, you are not required to make changes to our Pre-Draft Rankings list or Preferred Positions list. If you choose to not make changes, our default list, which reflects the rankings of our Fantasy experts, will be used. You will also have the opportunity to create a separate Excluded Players list of players you want to make sure they will not be drafted to your team. All changes and creation of an Excluded Players list must be completed during the Pre-Draft Period.

Once you are content with your Pre-Draft Rankings, you will be able to mark your team as “Ready to Draft” on your Team homepage. NFL.com will then be notified that your team is ready to be placed into an Autopick standard format league and drafted according to your Pre-Draft Rankings list. You will be notified via email (at the email address provided during registration) after the draft has been completed and your team is ready to play.

Please refer to the following table (each number in the table refers to each team's draft position for that round) for the draft order for the full 15 rounds of the draft. You'll see that the draft order will "snake" at the end of each round, meaning that the team with the last pick in the current round will have the first pick in the next round.

    AUCTION DRAFT

Leagues with an auction draft format rely on player nominations and an open bidding system to draft a team of players. Each team starts with a fantasy budget of $200 and must draft a full team of 15 players within the fantasy budget of $200 (see Roster Requirements below).

    Live Draft Instructions:

After you join a Live Draft League, you will have the opportunity to make changes to NFL.com's default auction value list, which is a list of all NFL players that are eligible to be drafted, with auction values (bid amounts) specified by our NFL.com experts. You will be able to make changes to your auction value draft list up until thirty (30) minutes before your draft is scheduled to begin.

It is recommended that you, prior to your Live Draft, organize the pre-rank auction value list according to your own player preferences. During the live draft, NFL.com will use the auction value rank list (regardless of whether you change the auction value list that the NFL.com fantasy experts provided) as a backup in case your time limit expires before you make a pick (explained below).

On your scheduled draft day there will be an "Enter Draft" link on your League home page. This link will allow entry into the draft room. The nomination order of the Live Draft will be randomly generated thirty (30) minutes before the Live Draft is scheduled to begin. If your league does not have ten (10) team owners at draft time, your league will be disbanded and each owner will have to join another league.

In the draft room, you will be able to place NFL players into a Nomination Queue - which is simply a list of players, in order of priority, that you are interested in nominating with your next draft pick. When it is your turn to pick, you will have forty-five (45) seconds to nominate a player. If the forty-five (45) seconds pass and you have not manually selected a player, the player ranked highest in your Nomination Queue will be automatically drafted. If the Nomination Queue is empty, a nomination will then be made based on your rank list and logic to help draft your team an ideal roster. In such a case, the highest rated player from the auction value list (which you updated prior to your draft being completed) will be nominated unless that position is filled in which case the next best available option, at an available position, will be nominated. The nomination order will follow a linear pattern (as outlined in the chart below) throughout the draft, with no additional nominations made by teams once they have a full roster. Note that all players are nominated for an amount of $1, with bidding by all teams with sufficient funds to determine the player’s final bid amount.

After a player is nominated, all teams have the option to put in a bid in an attempt to draft the player. You will have forty-five (45) seconds to bid on the player. If a new high bid is made in the last ten (10) seconds of the bid process, the clock will reset to ten (10) seconds. Once the clock has reached zero (0) seconds, the current high bidder wins the player. The amount that was bid is deducted from the team’s budget/bank and the next team according to the nomination order is now able to nominate a player.

You can find additional information on Auction Draft format in our Fantasy Help section at http://nfl.com/fantasy/help.

    Autopick Draft Instructions:

If you choose to create an Autopick Draft team, you will have the opportunity to pre-rank all eligible NFL players prior to being placed in a league any time during the Pre-Draft Period. You will rank the players in a single, comprehensive Pre-Draft Rankings list in the order of your preferred bid amounts. As in the Live Draft, you are not required to make changes to our Pre-Draft Rankings list. If you choose to not make changes, our default list, which reflects the bid values of NFL.com fantasy experts, will be used.

NFL.com will then be notified that your team is ready to be placed into an Autopick auction format league and drafted according to your Pre-Draft Rankings list. You will be notified via email (at the email address provided during registration) after the draft has been completed and your team is ready to play.

Please refer to the following table (each number in the table refers to each team's nomination position for that round) for the nomination order for the full 15 rounds of the draft. You'll see that the draft order will move in a linear order, meaning the same order is followed throughout the draft. Note that it is possible for a team to fill their roster prior to their last nomination. In this case, they will no longer nominate players during the draft, instead giving up these nominations to teams still in need of players on their roster.

    Teams:

    Overview

Each NFL.com Fantasy 2019 league will consist of ten (10) teams, which will be placed into a single division containing all 10 teams.

Each roster will consist of fifteen (15) NFL players. Owners may select a starting lineup each week from these fifteen (15) players. The chart below lists the required number of players at each position for the 'starting lineup' and the 'draft'.

Note: Individual defensive players are not drafted; rather, you will draft an NFL team's entire defensive/special teams unit. For the purpose of roster limits, each NFL defensive/special teams unit will count as one "player."

*You are allowed as many as nine (9) players in your starting lineup, according to the positional requirements listed in the table above. However, the numbers in the "starting lineup" column represent the maximum number of players you may start at each position. You may use fewer players than the number listed at each position without penalty, although it is recommended you use the maximum number of players so that you can accumulate the most points.

** Team owners that elect to participate in a league with an 'Autopick Draft' will have their rosters populated according to the criteria listed in the 'Roster Requirements' table. Players will be drafted based upon their order within each team owner's Rank List and position within the draft. For more information, please refer to the Autopick Draft Instructions listed above.

*** Team owners participating in a 'Live Draft' league will be required to select a total of fifteen (15) players based upon the criteria defined in the 'Roster Requirements' table above. For more information, please refer to the Live Draft Instructions listed above.

**** Please note that, throughout the season, your overall roster is not restricted to a specific number of players at each position. You can carry as many players in any one position that you choose, as long as your overall roster does not exceed fifteen (15) players.

    Schedule & Playoffs:

    Regular Season

The first fourteen (14) weeks of the 2019 NFL regular season represent the regular season for NFL.com Fantasy 2019 leagues (the “Fantasy Regular Season”). During these weeks, you will play against teams in your league. To see your team's specific schedule (developed by NFL.com in its sole discretion), click the Schedule tab on the league home page upon joining the league.

    Playoffs

When the Fantasy Regular Season ends, the four (4) teams in each league with the highest league standings (determined by League Manager in its sole discretion) will advance to the Fantasy Playoffs. See Fantasy Playoff schedule below. Additionally, the teams who ranked fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth highest in each league’s standings will be offered the opportunity to continue to play through the Playoff period in the league’s consolation bracket, however, they will no longer be in the running for a chance to win a prize. Only the teams participating in the Fantasy Playoff (as outlined above) will be in the running for a chance to win a prize.

If there is a tie for the order of Fantasy Playoff seeds, the following tie-breakers will be used.

Head-to-Head Record (win-loss-tie (“W-L-T”) record between the tied teams); if more than two (2) teams are tied, compare the W-L-T records between all teams, then eliminate the team(s) with the worst W-L-T record until 2 remain, then compare the final two (2); if a tie still exists then:

Year-To-Date (“YTD”) Points Scored (sum of all points accumulated during Fantasy Regular Season); if a tie still exists then:

YTD Points Against (sum of opponents’ points accumulated during Fantasy Regular Season); if a tie still exists then:

Random selection from among such tied teams.

    Point Values

Each week your team will compete against another team in your League in a head-to-head matchup. For the purposes of this Promotion a week is defined as the NFL games held between Wednesday and Monday. Matchups are determined by NFL.com in its sole discretion. During a matchup, each of the players in your starting lineup (“active” players) for that week will earn points based on their actual statistics from their respective NFL games. The charts below list the statistics and their corresponding point values.

    Wins & Losses:

For each head-to-head matchup, the team with the greater number of points will earn a Win and the team with the lesser number will earn a Loss. During the regular season, if two teams have the same number of points, each team will get a Tie.

During the Fantasy Playoffs, there are no ties. The Higher Playoff Seed will be deemed the winner.

    NOTES

Offensive Scoring (QB, RB, WR, TE): An offensive player will receive points for any of the specified offensive statistics he accumulates. Scoring will be calculated according to the following example: If a QB throws for 200 yards and 2 TDs; rushes for 20 yards and 1 TD; and has 25 yards receiving, his point total for the week would be:

    2 TDs Passing = 8 points, 1 TD Rushing = 6 points, 200 yards Passing = 8 points, 20 yards Rushing = 2 points, 25 yards receiving = 2.5 points; or 26.5 total points for the week.

Defensive / Special Team Scoring: Your defense/special team is awarded points when any one of its members generates a TD, INT, fumble recovery, safety or sack. Your defense/special team unit is also awarded points for a kickoff or punt return that results in a TD. For instance, if your active defense/special team is the Chargers and Travis Benjamin returns a punt for a TD, you get 6 points. In the same situation, a team using Travis Benjamin as an active WR would NOT be awarded points.

Fumbles Lost by a player will lose 2 points if they turn the ball over to the opposing team at any time such player is on the field (including special teams and defense). For instance, if you have Keenan Allen active at WR and he fumbles the ball away at any time while he is on the field, your team will lose 2 points. This includes a fumble lost while returning a punt, kick, interception (if your WR were playing defense) or while on offense at WR.

Offensive Fumble Recovery Touchdowns are any touchdowns resulting from a fumble recovered by an offensive skill player. For instance, if your active wide receiver is Mike Williams and he recovers a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown, your team would be awarded 6 points.

Defensive Points Allowed will take into account only the points allowed by the team when the defense or special teams is on the field based on possession. For example, a touchdown scored by an opposing team’s offense while the defense is on the field would count towards defensive points allowed, but a touchdown scored against a team’s offense (TD from interception, safeties, etc.) would not count towards defensive points allowed. Also, note that points scored against a team’s special teams unit (punt or kick return for a TD) would count towards defensive points allowed.

Defensive Touchdowns are any touchdowns scored by the defensive team. This includes fumble returns and interception returns.

Team Defensive 2-point Returns are when a defender returns an interception or recovers and returns a fumble during a 2-point conversion attempt by the opposing team.

Special Teams Touchdowns are touchdowns scored by punt returns, kickoff returns or returns of blocked field goals or punts. With NFL-Managed default scoring settings, special teams touchdowns are awarded to the Team Defense/Special Teams unit, not individual players. For example, if Travis Benjamin returns a punt for a touchdown, the Los Angeles Chargers Defense/Special Teams receives 6 points for a special teams touchdown, but Travis Benjamin does not receive these points.

Fractional points will be used when calculating points from statistics. For example, 49 yards rushing will result in 4.9 points.

    Statistics Corrections:

Following the completion of each week's games, all statistics and point totals are verified, and corrections are made where necessary. However, all statistics and point totals for the week are considered FINAL as of 11:59:59 PM ET on the Friday following the end of that week. If a stat correction is announced for the previous weekend's games after 11:59:59 PM ET on Friday or later, it will not be included in our statistics and your official Fantasy score will be based on the original statistic.

    Lineup Changes:

    Weekly Lineups

Each week, owners have the opportunity to select their starting lineup for the coming week. If an owner doesn't set a lineup before the weekly lineup deadline (explained in the “Deadline to Change Status” section below), the owner's lineup from the previous week will be used. If an owner has a lineup that is not in compliance with these rules, their team will score zero points for the scoring period.

    Deadline to Change Status:

An owner may change the status of the players on his/her team (i.e., "active" or "reserve") before a player's NFL team is scheduled to start as determined by NFL.com’s clock. NFL.com will not be responsible if your watch or clock and our system clock are not synchronized. Please note that, if nine (9) of your players were “active” and played on Sunday, you will not be able to change the status of one of your “reserves” to “active” on Monday even though the player has not yet played in the current week.

    Adding and Dropping Players:

    Free Agents

Throughout the season you may want to improve your roster by adding available free agents and dropping players who are not performing up to your expectations. You can submit a free agent request at any time. Any player who is not on Waivers (as described below) is considered a free agent and may be added to a teamimmediately on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Waivers:

To provide an equal opportunity for all owners to add players to their roster, a Waivers process is used. Requests for players that are on Waivers are not executed immediately, but are put in a pending status.

Free Agent players will be placed on Waivers at the start of their weekly NFL game during the course of the NFL season, typically on Sunday at 1:00:00, 4:00:00, or 8:20:00 p.m. ET. Note that if there are NFL games scheduled for Thursday or Saturday, the players from those teams will be placed on Waivers at the start of their respective games.

Any player that is new to the player pool will be placed on Waivers, and subject to the league’s Waiver process.

The Waiver process allows multiple teams to request the same players. Most weeknights between 12:00:00 a.m. ET and 6:00:00 a.m. ET, NFL.com will process all of the pending requests. The order in which these requests are processed is based on the Waiver Rank of each team. The table below lists when an NFL player is on Waivers and for how long.

    Waiver Conditions

    NFL Player Status

    On Waivers Until

Free Agent while NFL games are in progress

Approximately 6:00:00 a.m. ET Wednesday morning.

You can request players while games are in progress, but the first waivers run of the week will always be Wednesday morning, so Wednesday is the earliest day you'd be awarded a player in any week.

    Released during a waiver process

The next waiver process (usually 24 hours later, but see Waiver Schedule).

Ex.: Owner requests Player A on waivers and drops Player B. During waiver process, owner is awarded Player A, and Player B is placed on waivers until the next waiver process.

    Released during Free Agent Add/Drop

The third waiver process after the Add/Drop.

Ex.: Owner drops a player Tuesday afternoon. The player dropped is on waivers until the waiver process that runs between 12:00:00 AM ET Thursday and 6:00:00 AM ET Thursday.

    Waiver Rank:

During the waiver process, pending transactions are processed in an order determined by each team's waiver rank. The team with a waiver rank of 1, considered the highest, will get its first requested player. After the transaction is executed, the team's waiver rank is then set to 10 (last), and all other teams move up one. The waiver ranks are reset once each week after standings are updated on Tuesday morning. The last-place team (based on won/lost record) will be given the waiver rank of 1, down to the first-place team, which gets the waiver rank of 10. We'll use the following criteria to break any ties for waiver rank:

    Waiver Rank

    1. Worst Win/Loss Record

    2. Least Points Scored YTD

    3. Most Points Scored Against YTD

If a team's highest pending transaction becomes invalid because another team received the requested player, the transaction gets deleted and the team's next waiver request, if one exists, becomes that team's highest. If a team doesn't have any pending transactions because all players requested were taken by other teams, or the owner simply didn't request any players, there isn't any penalty and the Waiver Rank will not be changed for that week. Waiver priority immediately after the draft will be the reverse order of the first round selections in the draft (e.g., the team selecting #10 in the draft will have the highest waiver priority and the team selecting #1 in the draft will have the lowest waiver priority).

    Waiver Schedule:

The waiver process will run for the first time each week between 12:00:00 a.m. ET Wednesday and 6:00:00 a.m. ET Wednesday which is approximately 24 hours after the completion of Monday night's game. In a typical week the waiver process will run every night until the last waiver process is run on early Sunday morning.

If there are Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday games the players involved in those games will be placed on Waivers at the start of their game and will not be eligible to be added to a team’s roster until the first Waivers process of the following week runs.

Note: Waivers will continue to run for the current week, as scheduled, until the last waiver process is run on Sunday night/Monday morning.

With only two exceptions, there are no limits to the number of Add/Drops you can request, nor are there any transaction fees.

The first exception is when an owner drops his entire team or a significant number of players, also known as "team dropping". Team dropping has a negative impact on the league and as such, is prohibited and any owner who elects to drop his team shall be subject to immediate removal from the league. Players selected from waivers or added from free agency that were part of a team drop may be reversed at NFL.com’s sole discretion.

The second exception is abuse of the waivers process. This is when a team owner adds then drops a series of players, putting those players on waivers and making them inaccessible to other team owners. Such an action could result in forfeiture of points as well as that team owner being blocked from making any additional add/drops for the remainder of the season, as determined by NFL.com in its sole discretion.

If either of these situations occurs within your league, please contact NFL.com through Fantasy Help at http://fantasy.nfl.com/feedback as soon as possible.

    Preseason:

Once a league's draft is completed, players can be added and dropped subject to the Free Agent and Waiver rules discussed above. The initial Waiver Rank after the draft will be the reverse of order in which teams selected in the draft. After the draft, all players not drafted will be placed on Waivers. The waiver process will run each night, 7 days a week, starting the day after the draft through the Tuesday night before the first 2019 NFL regular season game.

    Undroppable Players:

To maintain the integrity of your league, you will be prevented from dropping certain star NFL players throughout the season. NFL.com will determine, in its sole discretion, which NFL players are undroppable. If there are players we've deemed undroppable on your roster, their undroppable status will be indicated on the Add/Drop page for your team. You may appeal to NFL.com for permission to drop an undroppable player; however, NFL.com will make the final decision on all undroppable player requests. Appeals can be sent via Fantasy Help at http://fantasy.nfl.com/feedback and should include the names of the players you want to add and drop.

    Trades:

    Trade Deadline

Throughout the season, owners can trade players with other teams. In an effort to keep the integrity of the league, a deadline for trades will be imposed at 12:00 PM EDT on 10/23/19. No trades will be allowed after that time. Any trades accepted by two parties before the deadline will be subject to the trade approval process.

    Trade Approval Process:

In an effort to prevent collusion among owners, and to ensure fair competition, a trade approval process is used. After two owners agree to a trade, it will be in pending status for at least 24 hours. If six (6) owners in your league object to the trade within the pending time period, the trade will not be executed. Example: a trade made at 5:00:00 p.m. ET Tuesday will not execute before 5:00 p.m. ET Wednesday at the earliest, assuming six (6) owners do not object before then.

To be effective for any given week of the NFL season, all trades between owners must be made at least 24 hours before the first game day of such week and disputed by less than six owners in a league. If trades are executed with less than 24 hours before the first game of any given NFL week or six (6) or more owners object to a trade, the trade will not be effective for such NFL week unless NFL.com overrules the objection at least 24 hours before the first game day of the week. If the NFL overrules the trade objection with less than 24 hours before the first game of the week, the trade will not be made effective until the following week.

If you make a trade offer, be sure to monitor the status of that offer (link on the My Team page) as the weekly lineup deadline approaches, to ensure that acceptance of that trade does not cause your team to have an illegal lineup for the current week's games. NFL.com is not responsible for a team not being awarded any points from a player acquired in a trade if that player was not placed in the team’s starting lineup prior to rosters locking for the week.

    Multi-player Trades:

Owners can enter unbalanced multi-player trades such as a 3 player for 1 player trade, however, such owners will be required to enter the necessary transactions to balance your roster immediately. If your roster is not balanced by the weekly deadline, you will receive zero points for that particular week.

    Sportsmanship:

    General Sportsmanship:

By participating, you agree to abide by the general sportsmanship rules set forth in these Official Rules and fantasy games in general. You further agree to accept and abide by the rulings and the decisions of NFL.com regarding all questions of sportsmanship. If an owner does not comply with the sportsmanship rules as defined in these official rules, or NFL.com determines (in NFL.com’s sole discretion) that an owner has acted in an unsportsmanlike manner, NFL.com reserves the right to disqualify the owner, void points and/or remove that owner from the league. All decisions by NFL.com in sportsmanship and related matters will be final.

    Multiple Teams:

In order to keep the leagues as competitive as possible, owners will only be allowed to have one team in a league. If it is discovered that two (2) or more teams are being operated by one owner in the same league, NFL.com reserves the right to disqualify that owner from participating in any Fantasy Football league.

    Collusion:

NFL.com does not permit two or more owners in the same league to work together to better one team at the expense of the other (for example, making one-sided trades, one team dropping highly-rated players so the other team can pick them up) If it is discovered that two or more owners are colluding, NFL.com reserves the right to disqualify all involved owners from participating in any NFL.com Fantasy Football league.

    Inappropriate League Communication:

The Fantasy and League Discussions, League News area, League Email Address, Game Center Discussions and Live Chat are available for you to communicate with other league owners. We ask that you refrain from posting or sending messages that could be construed as offensive to other owners. If NFL.com determines, at NFL.com's sole discretion, that someone is engaging in inappropriate league communication, NFL.com reserves the right to disqualify that person from participating in any NFL.com Fantasy Football league.

    Winner Selection:

Grand Prize: At the conclusion of the Promotion Period, the Registered Users (team owners)

who are in first place on the Leaderboard (as described below) throughout all Live Draft and

Autopick Draft Leagues, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed the

    potential Grand Prize winner.

Second Prize: At the conclusion of the Promotion Period, the Registered User (team owner)

who is in second place on the Leaderboard (as described below) throughout all Live Draft and

Autopick Draft Leagues, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed the

    potential Second Prize winner.

Third Prize: At the conclusion of the Promotion Period, the Registered User (team owner) who is

in third place on the Leaderboard (as described below) for all Live Draft and Autopick Draft

Leagues, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed the potential Third

    Prize winner.

League Champion: At the conclusion of the Promotion Period, the Registered Users (team

owners) who are in first place in their individual league after Playoffs (as described above), as

determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed the potential League Champion.

    Leaderboard:

Positions on the Leaderboard shall be calculated as follows:

Each team’s “League Index” will be calculated by taking the total points scored during the Promotion Period by all teams in the league and divided by total points scored by the highest scoring league during the Promotion Period. For example, if all teams in league A have scored a total of 1950 points during the Promotion Period and league C is the highest scoring league with 2000 points, then any team in league A will have a League Index of .975 (1950/2000).

A team’s Adjusted Points shall be calculated by multiplying the League Index by such teams’ total points.

Only teams winning their league’s championship will be included in the Leaderboard. All teams on the Leaderboard will be ranked by Adjusted Points. If more than one team has the same Adjusted Points total, the tiebreaker will be determined by Team Points, and if a tie still exists, winning percentage, and if a tie still exists total points scored against.

In the event of a tie for any prize level, the following tie-breakers will be used.

Regular Season Year-To-Date (“YTD”) Points Scored (sum of all points accumulated during Fantasy Regular Season); if a tie still exists then:

YTD Least Points Against (sum of opponents’ points accumulated during Fantasy Regular Season).

The tabulation of points and identification of potential winner(s) will be conducted by Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding on these and all other matters relating to the Promotion. By participating, participants agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor.

    B) Join A League: After you become a Registered User, you may join a Live Draft League or an Autopick League (defined below) anytime during the Registration Period by visiting BuffaloBills.com and selecting a league from the provided list. Only leagues with available slots will be made available to you. All leagues are required to have ten (10) participants, or team "owners" in order to draft (outlined below).

In order to ensure your league's season starts with the first day of the 2019 NFL regular season, you must sign up by [6:30PM/EST] on [9/4/19] and your draft (defined below) must be completed by [11:59PM /EST] on [9/4/19]. The league start date for any drafts completed after [11:59PM EST] on [9/4/19] will be the first complete NFL week of games after your draft. The last day of game play is [12/29/19].

If your league does not have ten (10) team owners at draft time, your league will be disbanded, and each owner will have to join another league.

If your league does not have ten (10) team owners at draft time, your league will be disbanded, and each owner will have to join another league.

Note: Individual defensive players are not drafted; rather, you will draft an NFL team's entire defensive/special teams’ unit. For the purpose of roster limits, each NFL defensive/special teams’ unit will count as one "player."

    Regular Season

The first fourteen (14) weeks of the 2019 NFL regular season represent the regular season for NFL.com Fantasy 2019 leagues (the “Fantasy Regular Season”). During these weeks, you will play against teams in your league. To see your team's specific schedule (developed by NFL.com in its sole discretion), click the Schedule tab on the league home upon joining the league.

All statistics and other information provided through NFL.com Fantasy 2019 are unofficial. The Game and its respective components are offered for informational and/or entertainment purposes only.

Each week your team will compete against another team in your League in a head-to-head matchup. For the purposes of this Game a week is defined as the NFL games held between Wednesday and Monday. Matchups are determined by NFL.com in its sole discretion. During a matchup, each of the players in your starting lineup (“active” players) for that week will earn points based on their actual statistics from their respective NFL games.

For instance, if your active defense/special team is the Steelers and JuJu Smith-Schuster returns a punt for a TD, you get 6 points awarded for your defense/special team. In the same situation, a team using JuJu as an active WR would.

Fumbles Lost by a player will lose 2 points if they turn the ball over to the opposing team at any time such player is on the field (including special teams and defense). For instance, if you have Dez Bryant active at WR and he fumbles the ball away at any time while he is on the field, your team will lose 2 points. This includes a fumble lost while returning a punt, kick, interception (if your WR were playing defense) or while on offense at WR.

Offensive Fumble Recovery Touchdowns are any touchdowns resulting from a fumble recovered by an offensive skill player. For instance, if your active wide receiver is Larry Fitzgerald and he recovers a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown, your team would be awarded 6 points.

Also, note that points scored against a team’s special teams’ unit (punt or kick return for a TD) would count towards defensive points allowed.

For example, if Devin Hester returns a punt for a touchdown, the Atlanta Falcons Defense/Special Teams receives 6 points for a special team’s touchdown, but Devin Hester does not receive these points.

Requests for players that are on Waivers are not executed immediately but are put in a pending status.

The next waiver process (usually 24 hours later but see Waiver Schedule).

In an effort to keep the integrity of the league, a deadline for trades will be imposed at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on 11/24/19.

By participating, you agree to abide by the general sportsmanship rules set forth in these rules and fantasy games in general.

Grand Prize: At the conclusion of the Promotion Period, the Registered Users (team owners) who are in first place on the Leaderboard (as described below) throughout all Live Draft and Autopick Draft Leagues, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner.

First Prize: At the conclusion of the Promotion Period, the Registered User (team owner) who is in second place on the Leaderboard (as described below) throughout all Live Draft and Autopick Draft Leagues, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will be deemed the potential First Prize winner.

    Prize(s):

Prize(s) [is/are] awarded “as is” without any warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of prize(s) not specified herein as being awarded, including, but not limited to, federal, state and local taxes are each winner’s sole responsibility. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

    Prize Notification:

Potential Prize winner(s) (the ”Prize Winner(s)”) will be notified via email on or about seven (7) days following the completion of the Promotion Period. Choppy or Low Quality Video

    Video Not Playing

    Buffering

    Internet Speed Insufficient

Why is the video choppy or taking a long time to start on NFL Game Pass in the NFL Mobile app?

NFL Game Pass access through the NFL app works best over 4G and Wi-Fi networks. Slower networks or internet connection speeds can reduce the video quality available in NFL Game Pass on tablet and mobile devices. Contact your ISP or mobile data provider if you suspect you are getting less bandwidth than you should.

My internet connection is much faster than the recommended minimum speeds. Why is my video choppy or low quality?

NFL Game Pass features adaptive playback which dynamically adjusts the quality of the video stream you receive based on the speed of your connection. If your connection speed fluctuates (many factors can contribute to this such as network congestion during peak times and other devices sharing your connection) NFL Game Pass detects this and lowers the quality of the video stream to ensure you can continue viewing the content without interruption. You can override this feature and choose which bit rate NFL Game Pass delivers despite fluctuations with your connection through the following steps:

    Launch NFL Game Pass

Hover over the "Quality" setting indicator and uncheck "Best Available"

Manually select a bit rate appropriate for your connection

NFL Game Pass will now stream at the bit rate you chose. If your connection can't handle the bit rate you selected, you may still experience choppiness in the video playback.

If your video playback is choppy with "Best Available" checked in the video quality settings, this may be an issue with your computer's performance. Please try the following:

Make sure your computer is up to date with the latest patches and your video card's drivers are current

Disable hardware acceleration as it can cause choppy video playback

Increase virtual memory as it can improve video playback

Check your anti-virus or firewall settings to make sure they allow traffic from NFL Game Pass

If you're unsure of how to do any of these things, please consult a qualified computer technician.

I adjusted the quality settings. Why is the video still choppy or low quality?

If you're experiencing choppy or low video quality with NFL Game Pass, please make sure to try accessing with different web browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc. If you have the same issues across multiple browsers, please see the following information for troubleshooting tips.

Typically, poor video quality will be related to one of the following things: Internet bandwidth, CPU utilization, or local software or network conflicts (i.e. security app or content filtering/traffic shaping.)

    Internet Bandwidth

Make sure you (or others on your network) are not downloading music, movies, or games while you are using NFL Game Pass as these activities consume your bandwidth.

You will need a download speed of 5 Mbps or higher to watch streaming video with NFL Game Pass at the highest available quality. You can use this free online tool to check your Internet connection's speed http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest -- select the New York option as a baseline.

Despite having a fast Internet connection, Internet congestion can slow down the delivery of the stream, make it difficult for you to connect, or cause buffering. Often the interruption is temporary. If you repeatedly have problems connecting, please notify your ISP. There are often quick fixes they can make when they learn about your issue.

Closed networks, such as the ones found on college campuses, hotels, hospitals, businesses, etc., can cause connectivity issues with live streaming video if certain ports are blocked or restricted.

    CPU Utilization

If your CPU is running at or above about 75\%, you will likely encounter issues with sluggish or choppy video quality.

To check your CPU usage on a Windows computer, press the Ctrl+Alt+Del keys simultaneously and then select "Task Manager." Your current CPU usage percentage is displayed under the "Performance" tab.

To check your CPU usage on a Mac OSX computer, launch the Activity Monitor application. Your current CPU usage percentage is displayed under the CPU tab.

If you're experiencing high CPU utilization, close any unnecessary applications which will help save CPU resources. Also, please check your CPU utilization while the media player is running.

    Local Software or Network Conflicts

Try disabling any firewall, security applications, or antivirus software that is running. These applications (e.g., Avast, Norton, McAfee), can affect the video quality of streaming video applications like NFL Game Pass.

    Adobe Flash Suggestions

To access the Adobe Flash options, launch NFL Game Pass and then right-click anywhere within the video player. In the menu, click on "Settings..." which will open the "Adobe Flash Player Settings."

Along the bottom of the "Adobe Flash Player Settings" menu, you'll see five tabs.

Click the third tab from the left (looks like a file folder with green arrow) and move the slider bar to the right until higher than 100 KB.

Next, click the leftmost tab (looks like a monitor) and then uncheck the box that says "Enable hardware acceleration." If the "Enable hardware acceleration" box is already unchecked, try checking the box.

Clear your browser cache and cookies, relaunch your browser, and check for improvement in the video quality.

Why is my video not playing?

Make sure you have pressed the play button for your video and wait a minute or two. If you still cannot play the video then your issue may be due to the following:

Low Memory - if your computer has less than the minimum 512 MB of memory or you are running many applications at the same time, close other applications before playing a video.

Low Bandwidth - it is required that you have either a Cable or DSL modem providing at least 750 kbps download speed. Contact your internet provider if you suspect you are getting less than this speed.

After I sign in and click on a game, I only get a spinning circle. What should I do?

If you're trying to watch a game and you're seeing a continuous loading circle or connection error within the video player, this can usually be resolved by signing out of NFL Game Pass, clearing your web browser's cache, and relaunching the browser.

If you're unsure of how to clear your web browser's cache, please see the below links to instructions for the most commonly used browsers.

    Chrome - https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95582?hl=en

    Firefox - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache

    Edge - https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10-microsoft-edge-and-privacy

    Internet Explorer 11 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/manage-delete-browsing-history-internet-explorer#ie=ie-11

    Internet Explorer 9 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/how-to-delete-your-browsing-history-in-internet-explorer-9

    Internet Explorer 7 & 8 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/delete-temporary-internet-files

    Safari - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH17191

If clearing your browser cache and relaunching does not solve the issue, it may be related to a web browser media player plugin issue, please try the following steps:

    Uninstall Adobe Flash Plugin

On a PC, do this through your CONTROL PANEL > ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS

On a Mac, drag Adobe Flash Player from applications to your Trash; or use Finder to locate Adobe Flash Player install manager, and uninstall

Once you have removed Adobe Flash, restart your computer.

Finally, download/install Flash directly from Adobe's website: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

I'm getting a message that my connection speed is insufficient for streaming video but I can still hear audio. What's going on?

If you receive this message in the NFL app and NFL Game Pass apps, your connection speed is not currently fast enough to support streaming video. The NFL app and NFL Game Pass apps will still play the audio portion of the stream so you can listen without interruption to the game or program you were viewing.

Registrations in excess of six (6) and/or multiple registrations in any one (1) league from any one (1) participant and email address thereafter will be void. Participants will only be eligible to win one prize, regardless of the number of registrations. In the event any participants win in multiple Leagues, only their registration in the League where they ranked the highest will be recognized. A participant may only use one (1) email address to participate in this promotion. The use of script, macro or any other device to automate or subvert the registration process is prohibited and all such registrations will be void. In the event of a dispute as to the identity based on e-mail address submitted, entry will be declared made by the Authorized Account Holder (as hereinafter defined) of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

    B) Join A League: After you become a Registered User, you may join a Live Draft League or an Autopick League (defined below) anytime during the Registration Period by visiting http://chicagobears.fantasy.nfl.com/registration/leaguedirectory and selecting a league from the provided list. Only leagues with available slots will be made available to you. All leagues are required to have ten (10) participants, or team "owners" in order to draft (outlined below).

In order to ensure your league's season starts with the first day of the 2019 NFL regular season, you must sign up by 8PM/EST on 9/5/19 and your draft (defined below) must be completed by 8PM/EST on 9/5/19. The league start date for any drafts completed after 8PM/EST on 9/5/19 will be the first complete NFL week of games after your draft. The last day of game play is 12/23/19.

If your league does not have ten (10) team owners at draft time, your league will be disbanded, and each owner will have to join another league.

If your league does not have ten (10) team owners at draft time, your league will be disbanded, and each owner will have to join another league.

Note: Individual defensive players are not drafted; rather, you will draft an NFL team's entire defensive/special teams’ unit. For the purpose of roster limits, each NFL defensive/special teams’ unit will count as one "player."

To see your team's specific schedule (developed by NFL.com in its sole discretion), click the Schedule tab on the league home upon joining the league.

For instance, if your active defense/special team is the Steelers and JuJu Smith-Schuster returns a punt for a TD, you get 6 points awarded for your defense/special team. In the same situation, a team using JuJu as an active WR would also be awarded points for a touchdown as an active WR.

Also, note that points scored against a team’s special teams’ unit (punt or kick return for a TD) would count towards defensive points allowed.

For example, if Devin Hester returns a punt for a touchdown, the Atlanta Falcons Defense/Special Teams receives 6 points for a special team’s touchdown, but Devin Hester does not receive these points.

Requests for players that are on Waivers are not executed immediately but are put in a pending status.

The next waiver process (usually 24 hours later but see Waiver Schedule).

In an effort to keep the integrity of the league, a deadline for trades will be imposed at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on 11/24/19.

By participating, you agree to abide by the general sportsmanship rules set forth in these rules and fantasy games in general.

The tabulation of points and identification of potential winners will be conducted by Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding on these and all other matters relating to the Promotion. By participating, participants agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor.

    Prizes:

    (1) Overall Prize: Personalized championship ring. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) = $500.

    (50) First League Prizes: Personalized league champion trophy, and invitation to attend a reception at Halas Hall on a date to be determined by Sponsor. ARV = $130.

First League Prizes (After the Top 50): All First League winners that do not finish in the Top 50 on the Leaderboard will be eligible to receive a printed Fantasy Football Champions Certificate.

Prizes are awarded “as is” without any warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of prizes not specified herein as being awarded, including, but not limited to, federal, state and local taxes are each winner’s sole responsibility. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

    Prize Notification:

NFL-Managed Leagues are leagues created and auto-run by NFL.com with standard/default settings for scoring, rosters, transactions, seeding, and schedule (as shown in the table below). Our fantasy players like these leagues for their simplicity, because the majority of fantasy football strategy content is geared towards leagues with default settings, and because no team owner has any power over the other.

Custom Leaguesare leagues created and run by an NFL.com user with customizable scoring, roster, transaction, seeding, division, and schedule settings (as shown in the table below). Some users find these leagues more exciting, as they have more freedom to enjoy scoring and settings other than those which are found in our NFL-Managed Leagues. IDP (individual defensive player) are one example of a setting that is exclusive to custom leagues.

Autopick Leaguesare drafted automatically according to site or personal rankings. This option has its own button in the League Directory.

Winners Leaguesare accessible only to those users that have previously won a Fantasy League at NFL.com. This option has its own button in the League Directory.

  • If you are unable to see your teamor league, please make sure you are logged into the NFL.com account with which the team is associated.Users often will draft a team while signed in with one username/email address and later sign in with a second email address and rightly not be able to access the league.

If you have been signing in with your email address, try signing in with your username instead. If you've already been signing in with the username, try the email address.

Users without a password or access to the email account associated with an NFL.com account will not be able to access that NFL.com account. You may want to create a new NFL.com account with an email address for which you do have access.

In a custom fantasy league, the Commissioner can use the Edit Team Owners tool to remove an old account and send an invitation to the email address associated with a new account at the same time.

  • Joining a league requires a valid NFL.com account. If you do not have an account, you can create one here.

    Ways to Join a League:

Take part in a draft in the Live Draft Lobby.

Choose a league to join using the League Directory.

Accept an invitation selecting a link from an emailed invitation.

Accept an invitation by entering a league name and password by pressing "Received An Invite" on the Fantasy Football homepage or in the bottom right of the "Join League" page of the app.

    Using the League Directory

In the League Directory, NFL.com users find fantasy leagues sorted by league type, draft type, draft date, and draft format. The "Details" link under League Notes provides the league settings.

Select "Join" for open leagues, or "Apply" for those that require application. Fill out team details and SUBMIT to be redirected to the league to begin preparing for the draft.

    Joining an Autopick League

Select " Enroll in Autopick Draft," found to the top right of the League Directory, fill out the following page and select SUBMIT. Then select GO TO YOUR AUTOPICK HOME on the following page. Editing the Pre-Draft Rankings in the Team Home is optional. Select "Change Status to Ready" to be placed into a queue for the next available Autopick league. Team owners receive an email notice when the new league has drafted and the league is ready to visit. A link to your league will be included in this email. This may take a few days outside of popular draft times.

    Joining a Friend's League

Players can join a friend's custom Fantasy league using one of these three methods:

Select "Join Now" in the invitation. (If the invitation link is not working, copy and paste it directly into the browser.)

Select "Join League" and then "Received Invite" in the NFL Fantasy Football app and enter League ID and password.

Select "Received a Fantasy Football Invite?" from the NFL Fantasy homepage and enter League ID and password.

Error messages most often occur during joining because two users are using the same device to invite and accept, and the inviting user has not signed out. Please try signing out of all NFL.com accounts, opening the link in a private browser window, or using a different browser.

  • Fair Play and User Conduct

To ensure that all NFL.com Fantasy Football leagues operate with integrity, there are rules that all owners must follow throughout the fantasy season.

    Collusion and/or Illegal Roster Moves

Collusion (secret conspiracy to cheat by distributing the best players of multiple teams to one team for the purpose of gaining an advantage) between owners of different teams for the benefit of certain teams over others is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate dismissal.

Dropping all or most of a team's players at or near the same time is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate dismissal.

    Single Team Ownership

Ownership of multiple teams in one league is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate dismissal.

Appropriate Language and Discussion, Including Team Names and Logos

In all forms of communication on NFL.com, including but not limited to league and team names, uploaded images, emails to team owners, and posts in discussion threads or draft chat rooms, threatening or derogatory language or imagery is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate dismissal.

    CUSTOM LEAGUE POLICY

We recommend that users only join Custom Leagues with Commissioners they trust, because the NFL must be 100\% "hands-off" when it comes to our Custom Leagues. It is up to the Commissioner and the individual team owners to police the content, communication, and activity in the leagues in which they participate. NFL.com is not liable for any communication, activity, or fair-play issues amongst the individual users in Custom Leagues.

  • Commissioners can invite players to join their custom leagues using either the desktop website or the NFL Fantasy mobile app.

    Desktop Website

There are three ways to have teams join a league via the desktop website.

Email- use 'Invite Friends' in the MANAGE tab.

League ID and Password- Share the ID and passwords from League Settings for your teams to use at http://fantasy.nfl.com/registration/privateleaguejoin.

League Directory- Publish to the League Directory using 'Edit Publish League' in the MANAGE tab.

If an invitation email does not immediately appear from [email protected], and the email address is confirmed, checkspam/junkfolders,safe/blockedlists, or othertabs/sections(Gmail's 'Promotions') for [email protected]. Contact network admins or email providers about email filtering, as well.

Error messages most often occur during joining because two users are using the same device to invite and accept, and the user doing the inviting has not signed out.

    NFL Fantasy App

After creating your league, click the blue "Invite Friends" button underneath your league and team name. There, you will be prompted to invite friends by email, SMS text message, or other apps that allow messaging.

Please note: If your league is not "full" - meaning it does not have a separate, registered NFL.com account having accepted an invitation to every team slot available as set in league settings - itwill not draft.

    Managing Membership Moving Forward

Commissioner may add, remove, or replace teams, team owners, and team co-owners using the appropriate links (listed below) in the MANAGE tab on thedesktop site.Leagues are required to have an even number of teams between 4 and 20.

    Invite Friends(Pre-Draft Only)

    Add Teams(Pre-Draft Only)

    Remove Teams(Pre-Draft Only)

    Edit Team Owners

    Invite Team Co-Owners

    Remove Team Co-Owners

If someonecan't remember how to access their account, they may want to create a new account. Commissionerscan then use the Edit Team Owners tool to remove their old account while adding their new account at the same time.

  • At NFL.com Fantasy, roster positions may only be added - not removed - after the draft. This promotes fairness and helps site functionality, as position limits affect draft strategy and removing positions after rosters are filled could invalidate rosters.

In order to decrease roster positions and limits, you must "Reset the Draft" using that link in the MANAGE tab, edit the roster positions using "Edit Roster Positions" tool in the MANAGE tab, and then re-draft.

  • Polls

Commissioners (and any league member with permission) can create a poll by selecting the blue "Create Poll" button on the bottom right of the LEAGUEdesktop page. Once a poll has been created, another can be created by selecting "More Polls" and then selecting "Archive and create poll." When creating a poll, enter a question of 50 characters or less and 2-10 answers of 20 characters or less. Polls are reflected in theLEAGUEpage.Team owners are allotted one vote per poll that cannot be changed after it has been submitted, and only one poll will be displayed on the league home at a time. Users access previous polls by selecting "More Polls". Each poll is archived when a new one is created and eventually saved in the the league's History page.

Select "Edit League Permissions" in the MANAGE tab to grant poll permissions.

    League Story

Commissioners (and any league member with permission) can create a league story by selecting "Create Story" in the story module in the LEAGUE tab. Enter a subject of 250 characters or less, enter text of 5000 characters or less, upload/choose an image, then submit. The newest story is posted in the LEAGUE tab. Each story is archived when a new one is created and saved in the league's History page. Users can comment on stories as they are posted.T

(There is currently a known bug wherein using the backspace may send you to the beginning of the League Story text field. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we do not have an ETA on a fix.)

Select "Edit League Permissions" in the MANAGE tab to grant league story permissions.

    History

NFL-Managed leagues do not carry over from year to year and do not have a history page. To go to a custom league's history page, select the "History" link in the LEAGUE tab on the desktop site. When this is done, the user lands on the "Almanac" page, a summary of the league's history.

The League Almanac provides you with a snapshot of each prior season including the following:

    League Champion

    Team Performance (Week)

    Player Performance (Week)

    Team Performance (Season)

Please note that our presentation is a little confusing on this page. It looks - next to Almanac - that the last season is already selected in a drop down. It is not yet selected, so you are not yet at the league's history pages. Pleaseselect the year you want from this drop down to enter the history of the league past the almanac.

Your League History, automatically archived and easily accessible year round, includes:

    Highest Player Points Accumulated (Week)

    Highest Teams Points Accumulated (Season)

    Trophy Room

Commissioners can showcase team owner accomplishments in the sortable Trophy Room, accessed through "Trophies" in the LEAGUE tab. There are a number of weekly and by-season trophies already active in any league. To manage or create trophies, Commissioners may select "Edit League Trophies" in the MANAGE tab or "CREATE MORE TROPHIES" in the Trophy Room, respectively.

Note: though you may turn off trophies at any time, you may not delete a trophy once it has been awarded to a team.

    Customizing the Schedule

Customize the unplayed weekly matchup schedule (up until a week kicks off) by first selecting "Customize League Schedule" in the MANAGE tab on the desktop site.

After selecting "Edit Week Matchup", select a grey box in the "Move" column, then select a blue up and down arrows circle destination icon. The box turning a darker grey indicates teams already moved. Select "Submit" to save.

For random scheduling, select the Schedule Randomizer pre-draft.

Custom League Regular Seasons can end in Week 13, 14 or 15.

Note: those who make the actual NFL schedule have a tough time doing so, so don't be surprised if it's hard to meet a predetermined set of rules (i.e. everyone in division plays each other twice, out of division once, that kind of thing); it may mathematically not be worth your time to try to make something complicated work.

    Keepers

A keeper is a player that is selected by a fantasy team owner before a predetermined deadline to remain on a fantasy team from one football season to the next. Leagues can allow up to as many keepers per team as there are roster spots. For the subsequent drafts, draft picks are awarded to teams in lieu of teams that decide not to keep the maximum amount of keepers. By default, keepers or picks-in-lieu-of-keepers are allotted in the initial round(s) of a league's draft, though this is fully customizable in the Custom Draft Board.

KEEPERS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO THEIR TEAMS THROUGH THE DRAFT

If your keeper league expands, the Commissioner can designate keepers or choose to award extra draft picks for new team(s).

Commissioners manage keepers and keeper settings with the following links in the MANAGE tab:

Edit League Settings: number of keepers and keeper lock date

Edit League Keepers: Edit keepers for teams

Edit Note: After selecting Edit League Keepers, select Edit Note to include keeper instructions for teams

Team owners select keepers by selecting "Select My Keepers" before the draft in the MY TEAM tab.

    Dynasty Leagues

Dynasty Leagues, long-term large-roster keeper leagues in which most or all of the rosters are retained from year to year, can be created the same way as any Custom League, and may contain up to 40 players and keepers per team.

  • Custom Leagues are leagues in which an NFL.com user called the Commissionercreates, populates, and manages a fantasy league. The Commissioner is responsible for making decisions regarding divisions, schedules, draft, roster, scoring, transaction, playoff-seeding, and fair-play settings for the entirety of the season. The Commissioner creates content in the form of League Stories and Polls and determines who else in the league has permission to do the same. Commissionersmust be the owner of a team in the league.

    League Creation and Initial Customization

To create a new Custom League on the desktop site:

Visit Fantasy.NFL.com and select "Start A Free League."

Sign in with your NFL username and password.

Enter the league name and password team owners will use to join and an optional custom URL of 20 characters or less.

Select your draft preferences: format, time per pick, type, date, and draft order.

Select your league settings: teams, divisions, weeks per playoff matchup, playoffs, and publicness.

Customize more league settings, like waiver periods and max adds, and scoring settings. These are both optional.

Enter your team name and choose time zone.

    Select "Create League."

To create a new Custom League in the mobile app:

Select "Create a League" upon opening the app.

Sign in with your NFL username and password.

Fill out league name, password, and other information.

    Select "Create League."

To change any settings after league creation, navigate to the desktop site's MANAGE tab. Note that some league settings are only customizable during specific parts of the season.

Some league settings can be managed in the mobile app.Select the league from the homepage, then press "League" in the bottom right. Press the "League Rules" button to edit.

    League Reactivation

Select ACTIVATELEAGUE in the NFL.com Fantasy game landing page to get to the page where you may reactivate custom leagues from previous years. All previous team owners will be sent a notification email. Commissioners are unable to edit the league's team owners before they activate. NFL-Managed Leagues do not carry over from year to year.

    User-Selected Start-of-Season

Custom Leagues may begin a fantasy season up to Week 6 of the regular season and choose to have the season "count" retroactively or not. By default, a league would start the first regular season week after it drafts. Weeks prior to the draft, should the league decide that they count, are scored with the team that was drafted, in the order that it was drafted. Post-Draft acquisitions would not count retroactively.

  • Fantasy on NFL.com features head-to-head scoring, where each team is matched up against another team within a league each week.

    Scoring Corrections

Occasionally, the official statistics from a given game are reviewed by the NFL and changed to more accurately reflect what happened on the field of play. Under these circumstances, the scoring changes to those plays affects the point totals of fantasy players involved. For example, if your team Defense is initially listed as having recorded a sack in a game, but, after further review, it is determined that the play was actually just a tackle behind the line of scrimmage, then your team would no longer get the fantasy points initially awarded for that sack. Those points would be removed from your point total for the week when the scoring correction is processed. You can see the latest scoring corrections by clicking on the Players tab at the top of the page and clicking "Stat Corrections."

In the event of a scoring change, the results of a fantasy matchup, and, thus, standings and seeding, may change. We will not then change the outcome manually to reflect a previous, inaccurate result.

    How Bonuses Work

For bonuses involving TD yardage, points are cumulative. For example, if bonuses for a 40+ yard touchdown and a 50+ yard touchdown are both turned on and a player scores a 55+ yard touchdown, the player will receive both bonuses. Please edit your settings accordingly.

In contrast, bonuses for total yardage are not cumulative. For example, if your league has a bonus for 100-199 yards receiving and a bonus for 200+ yards receiving and a player finishes a game with 250 yards receiving, they will only receive the bonus for 200+ yards as their total does not fall between 100-199.

    Ties

NFL-Managed leagues and leagues with default settings allow ties to be counted in team records should two opponents end a matchup with the same score.

If you would do not want matchup ties to be possible, go to "Edit League Settings" in theMANAGEtab and select "No." You can then select one of the one following single game tie-breaker options:

    Bench Points

    QB Points

    RB Points

    WR Points

    TE Points

    Defense Points

    K Points

Note: You may also select one of these options and use the "Edit Team Week Points" feature in the game to customize further.

  • How and When to Set Your Lineup

Setting your roster - or deciding which players' scores will count and which will not for a weekly match-up - takes place in the MY TEAM tab of the desktop or TEAM tab of the app. A player whose score will count is called a "starter" or is referred to as "in the starting lineup". To place the player in the starting lineup is to "start" him. A player whose score will not count is referred to as "on the bench" or "sat". To place the player there is to "sit" the player.

Select the gray box to the left of the player bar on desktop or the blue square in the app, then the up and down arrows icon (desktop) or one of the other blue square (app) that appear, to change the player's position in the roster. Team owners may also "drag and drop" the player using the same grey box on desktop. Select the blue SUBMIT button to save all moves on desktop; the app now saves automatically. Team owners are allowed to do this as many times as they want until the team or players lock at game time.

You can only start as many players as your league settings allow and only in the positions in which each player is designated. That being said, any player can score fantasy points for any activity listed in the League settings at NFL Fantasy.

    Lineup Lock Times

Roster spots lock (players become unable to be moved, added, dropped, or traded) for the weekend in one of the following three ways:

Each player/spot locks at about the individual player's listed kickoff time (default setting)

All players/spots lock at about the first game's listed kickoff time (custom league option)

Players/spots do not lock for games

Any player available as a Free Agent within the league will switch over to Waivers at the times above. If No Waivers is chosen as a Custom League option, Free Agent Lock Type must then be determined. The options are Yes (player locks at game time) or None.

Most leagues feature a "flex" slot in the starting lineup. This slot holds players of varying positions, allowing owners to start an additional position player on the roster. The most common and default type of FLEX designation holds either Wide Receivers or Running Backs.

COMMISSIONERS: Please note, roster positions may only be added, not removed, after the draft. This promotes fairness and site functionality, as position limits affect draft strategy and removing positions after rosters are filled could invalidate rosters.

    Injuries

Players who are injured will have an Injury designation near their name across the site. The lnjury Report in the Player tab shows official injury reports sortable by team, ownership status, and week. Final injury designations (listed below) are made on game days.

The RESERVE slot is a Custom League roster position option that allows an injured or suspended player to be kept on a team but not count as a bench spot (though they still count against position limits). Players are eligible for the Reserved slot if they are officially labeled by their NFL team as:

    IR: Injured Reserve

NON: Non Football Related Injured Reserve

    SUS: Suspended

    PUP: Physically Unable to Perform

    EXE: Exempt

In order for a reserved player to be moved back to the roster, the roster must have a space for him and still be within league-specified roster limits. A reactivated player remaining in the Reserve Slot will prevent his team owner from completing transactions (adding, dropping, and trading) but will not prevent his team from earning fantasy points.
