National Instruments Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

It is good enough, not great

empowering individuals, and supportive. Highly depends on individuals though

Transparency and clear vision for the future

Transparancy qnd forqard thinking team

Review from Marketing Dept

They listen to their employees and the data.

Willingness to take risks for the benefit of the company growth.

Review from Engineering Dept

Motivated and well presented to boost confidence of stakeholders

Open and friendly people, very approachable!

Greater transparency and strong business direction

Adapt to change well and quickly, invest in new markets when competition is struggling. Accessibility.

I like their management strategy. No micro-managing going on here (at least not in my department)

They have brought some significant changes in the past one year as to how the company works internally and how we market our products. Still long way to go

Review from Engineering Dept

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Reduce meetings and distractions, let the work get done.

Improve decision making & have a well defined vision for the company.

The leadership needs to know the business and the customers and stop spending all the time in meeting rooms and slides. They focus on pretty slides while they use customers because the leadership does not know the business

Review from Engineering Dept

Stop changing company directions every couple of years and let things play out and back decisions with transparent data for your employees.

Review from Engineering Dept

Leadership development - there are far too many decision makers with no leadership, management, practical experience

Leadership does not evangelize or clearly communicate goals to team. Majority of marketing leadership has low amount of marketing experience

Review from Marketing Dept

No techincal people in senior leadership (LabVIEW doesn't count). Uninspiring with no vision and no strategy other than cut costs.
