Eh. Depends on the department.
How does NBCUniversal make decisions around promotions?
I’m biased on this question I can’t say
I've found that internal promotions are hard to come by, as age tends to play a role if you've been at the company for awhile. I worked up from Coordinator to Specialist to Manager within six years, and that was considered fast on my team. I've heard that you have to leave the company around middle-management level for a bit and go to another company in order to come back in as a Director/Senior Director at NBCU within 5 years.
