They truly care about the team and are some of the brightest people in the industry.
Review from Customer Success Dept
It depends on the person, but there are some leadership trying to listen and help.
Review from Engineering Dept
Even though the company is growing, there is still a strong culture and ways for people to get involved in ways that help to retain a strong sense of community. I don't feel like I'm working in a large corporation.
Review from Product Dept
My direct manager is great, she helps push me in the right direction and as I gain more seniority, allows me to make my own choices in what I want to work on.
Review from Engineering Dept
Leadership is very transparent with objectives/goals/mission
Review from Customer Success Dept
candor and commitment to people development
Review from HR Dept
Physically visible in company offices - Commitment to success and company goals - my Executive (Sean) does always seem to advocate for what is best for our customers!
Review from Customer Support Dept
The leadership team got that swagger
Review from Customer Support Dept
Open communication and very approachable
Review from IT Dept
I trust Pierre, which isn't a light statement.
Review from IT Dept
They show-up and are always willing to lean in on challenging customers. They also encourage us to do the right thing for the customer and that is not just something they say, they truly represent that.
Review from Customer Support Dept
The leadership team shows transparency.
Review from Engineering Dept
Customer focused, innovating with technology.
Review from Product Dept
They make tough decisions and own those decisions. I feel that I can trust them as they make those decisions. They may make mistakes, but that doesn't mean they are incompetent, it means they are human.
Review from Engineering Dept
They treat us like adults. They are clear, intentional, honest, and present.
Review from Customer Success Dept
Listen to the needs of employees and customers
Review from Customer Support Dept
They have a passion for the company and embrace change.
Review from Product Dept
They seem like good, well-intentioned people
Review from Marketing Dept
They are relatable - we're all human!
Review from HR Dept
I know that they have my back.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Compensation, communication, and empathy for everyone on the front lines
Review from Engineering Dept
Walking the walk, not just talking the talk. Don't tell employees that they are excelling/growing/crushing it and then not be prepared to reward them with career/monetary advancement
Review from Product Dept
Not everything at nCino is about BOS, yet it seems to be all we talk about. Other areas/departments of nCino feel left out. Also there is no discussion of DEI from the top, and quite frankly not enough diversity here as a company. I don't see nCino as a long term career option for me.
Review from Customer Success Dept
Internal Comms Consistency in policy implementation be more in touch with who nCino is today and not the past versions of it
The company/leadership doesn't seem to value critical team members enough. Salaries/working conditions are not competitive to the market and very talented/experienced people are leaving in droves. Goals/priorities also shift very rapidly which leads to a lot of work being abandoned
Review from Product Dept
innovation, let's not be a permissions-based organization in every little thing we do. Be more transparent in why people get let-go or their job role no longer is needed. Have an employee-based reward system.
Review from Marketing Dept
Recognizing industry standard compensation levels and adjusting ours accordingly. Specifically Software Engineers at nCino make roughly 20% less than their average industry counterpart.
Review from Engineering Dept
Actually taking care of their employees like they think they do - pay market rates, be more transparent, listen to employee feedback, speed up turn around times by reviewing useless processes (specifically everything with HR)
Review from Engineering Dept
Retaining talent, Compensating employees to keep them, Making the work environment more functional instead of aesthetically pleasing, Not being hypocritical by saying one thing and doing another.
Review from Engineering Dept
Paying employees a competitive wage - CULTURE will come after that, as good people will stay. 7% layoffs yet 0 talk of shaving some stock amounts or salaries from Upper Exec, when they're probably the only ones in the company that are overpaid? Feels very hypocritical of upper management.
Review from Engineering Dept
Not shifting priorities every 3-6 months. We understand that we need to make customers happy but we need to take the time to update and improve some existing features. Also, in office 5 days a week is burning people out.
Review from Engineering Dept
Start treating departments equally, actually listen to employee feedback
Review from Customer Support Dept
Communication. Wages. Not jerking employees around.
Review from Engineering Dept
Empathy. The way that layoffs were handled was extremely upsetting, moreso than the actual layoffs. Teams were gutted and left with no direction. Address the elephant in the room. Flabbergasted that I heard from an exec that 'i wont be taking negative questions' like are you serious?
Review from Engineering Dept
Leadership talks about caring about people but then they do sudden layoffs. Their actions do not match what they say. Companies who truly care about their employees would not have handled the situation that way.
Review from Engineering Dept
Stop making sweeping changes or decisions that affect the entire team. Employees need to be treated as people, not numbers.
Review from Engineering Dept
Internal Communications - actually living out the core values they preach. provide remote work - data points toward that this alone greatly contributes to increased productivity and culture
nCino used to put employees first which created an amazing company dynamic. Since going public, the culture has changed. What's best for the employees is no longer considered, drastic changes are made with no follow-through, and there is no longer any transparency or honesty from the executives.
Review from Engineering Dept
Their commitment to returning to work is misguided, and it is clear that the only people who think it's a good idea is the c-suite. Their inability to be flexible with the times in offering wfh options is a sign that weve gotten too big and bloated to be agile.
Review from Product Dept
Paying better and embracing flexibility
