Out of 72 NETGEAR employee reviews, 59% were positive. The remaining 41% were constructive reviews with the goal of helping NETGEAR improve their work culture.
Be different people. Current leadership aren't leaders.
Leading. Actually caring about their staff. It runs like a fast food franchise.
Less meetings that drag on, pay their employees better, provide feedback on my work and act like you care about mentoring/helping me become permanent and get promoted. So many don't... So they quit and walk away. Soon overseas workers will be all that's left
Stop- having so many meetings, promote excellent, hard working team members to higher level positions instead of only recruiting outside contacts and friends of other executives & board members. Nepotism & hiring employees on work visas from China and India is not a good thing. Pay higher wages.
Just a general dishonest work environment that values short term profits over all else.
Underpaid. Never hit promised bonuses. Slow to replace staff so everyone covers more than their job. So much so its a joke. Good people are grinded down and burned out.
Because the pay is obscenely low. Or should I say Lo?
Because they pay some of the lowest wages to employees & would rather use contractors & workers in the Philippines & India instead of hiring local employees. Also, no bonus in 2 years & an unlimited PTO program that requires you to "check in" or work while on a vacation. Otherwise, no paid time off.
They need to be nore professional.
Improved honesty and integrity within the company.
CEO, CMO and several directors need to go. Whole org needs to be expanded and not flat. Why do specialists report to a director? They need to actually care about retaining quality staff and not hire wash outs from more prestigious firms at firector level or higher.
Everything but no one cares. Higher ranking managers & supervisors could care less about lower level employees. Some wouldn't even have a conversation or listen to my ideas. Was eager to do more but no one took me seriously. Was told to just do my work. Also, no wonder recruiters poach from NETGEAR.
Be honest about the work environment and the culture. This is no longer a tech company. It's a business that sells paid subscriptions to tech support for products that intentionally do not work as advertised.
Cut about 5 of the interviews off. Keep it simple. Hire at a good wage.
No care for customers. They want to be a premium brand but dont want to put the $$$ or effort into creating that experience.
Make customers pay for customer support on defective poorly made products after 30 days. CEO Patrick Lo quoted in the past; "We don't want them to call but if they do we'll get him to pay."
It can't be improved unless the CEO Patrick Lo is replaced and the culture changes to one that is positive, takes all employees into account and stop treating contractors like second class workers who are not appreciated.
Fairness for employees. Favoritism towards some in departments.
