New Jersey Transit Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Health insurance is extremely generous

Posted a month ago

Nj transit rail offers many things other commuter railroads across the country do not and will not offer.

Pension match and health insuranxe

You can borrow money when you want to

I like the pension and health care

After 10 years you get vested in a pension, nothing until at least 10 years. And that is the only thing that keeps ALL drivers, behind that steering wheel.

It covers vacations and sick days.

My railroad benefits allow me to grow a pension without a 401k

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

According to volatile economy it's barely enough to support a family.

Autonomy. Valued. Reapected not discriminated

We are paid significantly less than other companies for the same job.

Taking better care of your disabled and retired employees

There are no raises whatsoever, how could you possibly be satisfied knowing you will literally never see an increase in pay.
