New Relic needs to be acquired and reorganized
New Relic went on a hiring spree, especially for roles that weren't sanctioned and approved by the team. Roles were destined for failure right out of the gate.
Lots of change and unclear how to achieve our vision
Leadership ignored competition, from private companies and open source projects, and we're now trying to catch up. Product leaders were promoted from engineering ranks and are mainly focused on execution rather than strategy or the customer. The CEO dictates everything.
