Getting business staff to do their assigned work items instead of pushing questions to business management. Business manager openly accuses developers, damaging credibility of developers, of breaking software systems already tested and approved by peers, technology managers without all the facts.
Have Diversity at the top and not just one Southeast Asian or African American just so they can claim they are an EEO employer and get government subsidies but walk the walk. Don't claim that you are inclusive or DEI when it was never the case.
Wake up and actually manage
Actually empower employees, and provide the necessary training to help them succeed. Stop trying to make up metrics that don't apply, and listen to your emplyees. Management will mask or not concey these issues to the higher ups, and nothing positive happens. Feedback loops are also crap.
Clear and professional communication. Improve work atmosphere, so employees feel their contribution matters.

I know that I'm paid at about 80% of the market rate. I also feel completely overworked all the time. Bringing my compensation up to the industry average (or above) and hiring more people to distribute work would make the job seem reasonable.

The.company hires young.people with.very very little training.
My coworkers are doing the best they can under the same stressful circumstances. For any of us to be better, we need to be able to work at a rate that is actually sustainable.

Strive to set realistic goals from the beginning. You've trained your entire staff that the deadlines you set are unrealistic and they must determine a realistic timeline and drive towards that whole yes'ing leadership that their fake date will happen until it's too late.
Morale is at an all time low. It may be too late to save but efforts need to be made immediately to try to retain the few people left. Employee retention appears to be of no concern to leadership.
