They have been transparent about COVID-related protocols and the status of our biggest contracts. I appreciate that I know what's going on at that level.
The transparency, and eagerness to really listen to what their teams are saying. All employees have not only been kept informed about major decisions across the org, but the communications come directly from the President and are two-way conversations as opposed to update-sharing.

A transparent and equitable compensation system that aligns to their values. Extremely generous retirement plan, thoughtful benefits aligned to values (education awards, parental leave) & it is unusual for a non-profit to be able to provide bonuses for staff on top of a highly competitive salary.

grew from a small team to pretty large (triple in size over a decade) with practically no one leaving; makes for good comraderie and teamwork; people supporting one another within and across dept b/c they like each other and want to support one another. Feel like the care is genuine and authentic.
Regular sittings allows for us to connect, discuss, pick brains, and to gain clarity on tasks, goals, agenda, and timing.
My team is awesome - caring and smart and good at their job. People here care about doing the work well.
All of us enjoy sharing our lived experiences with each other, and learning from each other. The culture on the team is highly collaborative. Everyone (from the bosses to the subordinates) is ready to roll up their sleeves anytime it's needed!
Not just a group of responsible, smart, high performers (which they are), but also great human beings who care for one another, are happy to pitch in and support one another when needed, and genuinely enjoy being around each other. Rare that anyone resigns from our team...

thoughtful; from the monthly birthday celebrations to the quarterly all staff meetings and happy hours, the DEI meetings, annual outing, holiday party, staff appreciation breakfast, potluck, ping pong tourneys, etc we work hard but also make time and space to recognize and appreciate staff

Opportunity to meet with so many different people; got a real flavor of the people and their interest in my role
Organized, efficient, transparent and professional
Constant contact, where stages of the process are obvious, and move well.
The recruiters were great - knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

While complete a really complex and challenging project after months of work through strong teamwork and leadership - that is appreciated by constituents, recognized by leadership and helps make the organization stronger in its ability to support schools and the students they serve.
That my team will support me no matter what. Having children especially produces unforseen situations that would prove difficult with a standard employeer. NVPS is champion at being open to making us all comfortable. You champion your work, and New Visions does the rest.
