While it can be hectic and the partners can have unrealistic expectations, I love my team and the people I work with. They make everything worth it.
I took a bit of a leap moving to Chicago from the east coast right out of undergrad to work at NextCapital, but I could not be happier with my decision - I feel like I lucked out. The culture is so positive and I have been provided with opportunities to take on responsibilities in such a short time.

How's the morale at NextCapital?
Fairly good to high.

Most candidates go through a background check. In general, it doesn't involve a drug test.
What's the work from home policy like at NextCapital?
Generally speaking, since we have a focus on work/life balance, it is generally acceptable to work from home occasionally. This is, of course, depends on the team and manager.
How's the work life balance at NextCapital?
Most people work 8 hours a day. Very rarely you work beyond 40 (though it is not a case for some individuals).
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at NextCapital?
More automation, more outside leadership at this stage.
What's the interview process like at NextCapital?
An initial logic exercise, some coding questions. Then you go through a phone screen and once you get past that, you come on site to speak with your potential peers, managers, and leadership.
