Everyone cares about getting each other home safe. It's a big family.

Challenge, problem solving - the autonomy to make the best choice for the situation.

Generally speaking - the teamwork is what is great about the culture. Everyone is willing to help out anyone
What do you like best about the leadership team?
This leadership team communicates out to the company as a whole more than previous leadership teams. I more aware of the company's direction
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compared to similar professionals in my geographic market, (for my and other positions) we are on the lower end of the pay scale. Nucor also does not account for geographic cost of living for pay considerations.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Personable and easy to relate to. They seem to genuinely care about the frontline teammate and how their decisions affect them. They are looking out for the long term future of the company to ensure we all have jobs tomorrow and in the future.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
When compared to similar positions in my geographic area, Nucor is near the bottom for salary range - for similar sized companies. Cost of living should be considered for pay in different regions - the same pay for the same job could be a different standard of living.
