My experience has been very positive. I have had many opportunities working at Nucor that I wouldn't have had if I worked anywhere else.

You are never made to feel as if you can't ask questions.

being able to meet the entire team before I joined the company.

We are truly like a family. I could go to them for anything.
What makes you most happy at work?
The ability to know that what I'm working on helps my coworkers and myself support our families.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
How they help us relate our day-to-day activities to the overall enterprise goals. Helps us feel more connected.

Nucor's Tuition Reimbursement system is very helpful for teammates who what to seek out self improvement/development opportunities.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone really takes responsibility for their own tasks and are willing to help with anything outside of what they're required to do.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They really care about each teammate. I feel like they care for me outside of work and really appreciate the work that I do.
What makes you most happy at work?
Having the ability to take on any responsibilities I would like in addition to my normal duties. If I want to cross train in different departments I am encouraged to do so.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I don't feel like just another employee at a large corporation where upper management doesn't even know your name. We are allowed to regularly meet with our EVPs, make our own decisions and cross train on different areas we are interested in.
