Always challenged while carrying a heavy load of responsibility. I do enjoy working with a high quality Nucor team. This career has allowed me to provide and care for my family which I am very appreciative for.

Being visible now through videos & our townhall meetings. I also appreciate update e-mails from Leon.

Dependable and willing to tackle issues when they arise. They are conscious of my safety along with theirs.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I am given the freedom and encouraged to innovate / engineer solutions. Enjoy working with a variety of teammates & contractors. I have ability to make decisions on projects as needed.
What makes you most happy at work?
Having the Mill run well which allows me to be home on time with my family and make plans as I desire. Successfully completing / caught up on tasks for the day.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Those on hourly bonus pay are penalized when taking vacation. Vacation bonus hours are not paid the same. I would need to sell an extra day of vacation to compensate. Working dayshift I would like to have some personal time available for medical appoints instead of having to take 1/2 day vacation
