I started here looking for a job I can retire from. Because of the culture and family I work with I can say I have found that. I have enjoyed it and brought 4 friends with me to share the experience. I will continue to tell people this is the greatest job I have ever had.
What makes you most happy at work?
The people I work with 100 percent. Hearing what they did the night before, growing up together, and figuring out jobs together.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Fidelity is the part for me. It is allowing me to set up my future. While teaching me what is important and where to invest.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We take care of each other from a standpoint of family. We are not just a business taking care of an employee. We are a family looking out for each other day to day, inside and outside of work.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are like Family. We make our workday short by enjoying the time we spend together. Talking about our individual families, asking each other for advice, helping each other plan for the future, and sharing our experiences. Best guys I have worked with in my life so far. Truly family.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The goal of my leadership team is the same as mine. Work safe, Grow the core, and expand beyond. For my leadership team and I this means being my brother's keeper. Returning to home the way we left. Continue to grow individually and as team. Expand to teach, learn and grow together as one Nucor.
