I have had a very positive experience at Nucor. I came from a different background, but every step of the way of learning this role I felt I had support and people to turn to for help. The sky is the limit is very encouraged, and I feel I have a very bright future.

When I am fulfilling my responsibilities, learning something new or helping to problem solve that turns out positively.

The openness and recognition that things can be better. From Safety to general structure, there is an underlying current of know better, do better.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The eagerness to help teach, the openness to learning and listening. They encourage each other to take care of ourselves. They take accountability for themselves.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I feel the best part is its diversity. It's not just heavy in one area. It feels well rounded. Holidays (should recognize Juneteenth), pay structure, Bonus/ROA/Profit sharing, vacation time. In addition, I think something that Nucor is good at regarding compensation is transparency or access to info
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The arching leadership of the company, I like that you can speak to them. They are accessible and that accessibility is vital to potential change. My direct leadership cares. They care about this company, their role and me as a teammate. It shows in their daily interactions and that speak volumes.
