Overall great. Nucor provides the means for me to take care of my family, which is my number one priority in life. Sure, there are areas that could be improved, but the experience is generally positive.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The comradery. At the end of the day, we spend more time with these people than our own families a lot of the time. I thoroughly enjoy the people i work with and consider them some of my best friends.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Our current leadership team keeps and open mind and listens when we have something to say. They do expect justification when a request is made, but don't mind taking the time to explain why the request was turned down, if it was. They don't just write it off.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I don't feel undervalued, but Nucor needs to accept that other companies are catching up to our pay scale and providing better benefits, all while working in less harsh conditions. If we want to acquire and maintain the best talent out there, we need to gain back that competitive advantage.
