It's a good job with some downsides. Nucor expects the absolute best out of you, but often isn't flexible with their employees. There is no flexibility with schedule or relocating for promotion, which can create burnout.

My coworkers are great to work with and are generally positive people.

My team is very engaged and wants to become the best version of themselves.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The bonus structure is really good. As well as the family benefits (maternity/paternity leave, education credits, etc.)
What did you like most about the interview process?
I think the company does a good job welcoming external candidates and giving them the best opportunity to know Nucor.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like that the leadership team tries to connect with the entire team, which is difficult given how large the company is.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive aspect is that safety is a high priority that often is influenced by the importance of our life outside of work.
