RSUs were aggressive as part of initial offering. Stock has split twice in nearly four years which has helped value acceleration.
Stocks and Allowances including medical benefits
Salary is the best part
yeah it is really good

Base Salary, 401k matching could be better
Review from Engineering Dept
money to spend on ourselves
Review from Sales Dept
I am happy with the compensation received, but more importantly, the benefits provided.
Review from Customer Support Dept
Great stocks and competitive pay. High bonuses and good stock.
Review from Engineering Dept
Our benefits are great and the cost is very reasonable. The 401k matching could be better.
The overall package, which is a combination of good pay, stock, performance-based bonus, and other benefits related add-ons which do add up!
the salary is the best

Flexible benefits for quality of life - PANW keeps me athletic
Review from Engineering Dept
I love the company's Flex Benefits program whereby we get a yearly stipend for extracurricular activities / interests!
frontloaded into salary with average backend and below average matching, which allows you to self-direct your own percentages
Review from Engineering Dept
Stock, unlimited PTO, health benefits, and flex benefits.
Review from HR Dept
Our stock has done really well. The ESPP program is the best I've seen.
Palo Alto Networks pays fairly!
The RSUs and ESPP are great.
Review from Engineering Dept
ESPP and RSU are great, but refreshes are hard to get
The best part of our compensation package is definitely the equity component. Palo Alto Networks' stock (PANW) has been a significant value booster, making it a rewarding aspect of our overall compensation.
Review from HR Dept
Better 401K would be helpful
Increase in the number of stocks is desired. But increase in the base salary is must needed. The base salary is too low and not great due to the HCOL in bay area.
Review from Engineering Dept
Industry benchmarking is needed at this point in time.

Get comparable pay like other employees
With growth comes expectations. But those expectations are done at a non macro level. The peanut butter spread quota doesn't apply in all accounts and territories. Big changes in compensation has always been a negative impact on employees that have been here the longest. Retention is not a thing
The compensation is relatively average if you compared with Microsoft, Google and other security competitors
I see other folks at my level being paid higher
Better work/life balance and HR caring about supporting that.
We've done multiple price increases on our products over the past few years...yet we've had our comp plans reduced over the last 3 years. The sheep see the stock price doing great, but execs benefit from that since bulk of their comp is in equity. Our comp has been significantly reduced yearly.
Stock or RSU was not allotted.
Compensation is not market competitive and does not take into consideration the time commitment needed for the role given the nature of the business.
Review from Legal Dept
My retirement savings are a key part of my financial health but the 401k matching is anemic. A percentage match of our contributions to our 401k would bring us more inline with many of our competitors who offer a much more robust matching of our retirement funding.
Review from Product Dept
Compensation is good , but can be much better.
We have been struggling with the comp ranges, it is not aligned with the market data as we should look at Saas based company. I am just holding to see this year's pay increment and definitely take a decision based on that.
Review from HR Dept
PANW is not competitive with comp.
Salary is under-market, equity is low and 401(k) matching might as well not exist.
clearer goals and metrics to achieve more compensation.
Review from HR Dept
Things could have been better
401K matching, death benefits, transparency with gender wage gap and salary ranges
Review from Customer Support Dept
Fair assessment and market leveling. Add back RSUs for individual contributors. Managers take all.
