How employees describe working at Palo Alto Networks

They are involed and supportive

Competitive pay. Good culture, there is alot of changing happening so buckle up butter cup.

The diverse nature of the people who I engaged/communicated with

Review from Sales Dept

Great place with great people--especially in management! We are well supported by those who make unilateral decisions for our employee base.

Outstanding products and platform but work-life experience is very poor, especially if you are working in sales and foremost if you are a core account manager. Targets are ridicolously high and most sales reps habe no chance to make their numbers. Customer support is also poor, especially in Europe.

Background check yes. No drug testing unless you work in the federal teams and even that is a stretch. Started 4 years ago and was not drug tested.

  • Yes and unfortunately their HR practices are so out of date and not compliant with today's laws that they will background check you before any job offer. In California its illegal to do that but they dont care. Also dont expect any kind of follow up. They just ghost and gaslight you. Too bad. Used to be a great company.

  • Drug test no, background check yes.

  • Very fast paced company. Some groups are more flexible than others. I think this is priority for the company to address going forward. Some of the engineering groups and others work an insane amount, with no flexibility or ability to work from home. Really limits appeal for women or men who are caregivers.

  • More like work-life blend. Since people are genuinely passionate about their work projects, its more heavy duty than other "relaxed" work places.

  • Depends on the team, but fairly flexible on my team
