Mr. Douglas M. Lankler, also known as Doug, has been the General Counsel of Pfizer Inc. since December 17, 2013 and has been its Executive Vice President since December 2010. Mr. Lankler served as the Chief Compliance Officer of Pfizer Inc. since August 2009 and served as its Chief Risk Officer since February 2011. He has been with Pfizer since 1999. He served as Senior Vice President of Pfizer Inc. from August 2009 to December 2010. Prior to that, he led various functions within Pfizer's Legal Division. Prior to that, he worked with the United States Department of Justice as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York. While in the U.S. Attorney's Office, he prosecuted white collar fraud, corporate crimes, traditional organized crime and terrorism. he was a recipient of the United States Attorney General's Distinguished Service Award. Before joining the Department of Justice, he worked in the Litigation Department of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and Cornell Law School.
