Mixed bag. There are good things and bad things. There are definitely good people here, and hard workers, but the company loses their hard workers due to overworking them. When the hours are too long and people are stretched too thin, people leave in just a few years.

The company is passionate and most employees are hard workers and believe in what they're doing. Currently, I'm loving my position when I didn't love it before because I am working remotely. I can't begin to describe how much of a life changer it is. I'm happier and more focused!

Mixed bag. I know I'm valued, but I feel very stretched. We need more people to take on the workload.

Constant interruptions when I'm in the office. Makes it impossible to get anything done.

Organized and no one is lazy. Everyone gets their work done and gets it done on time!
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Employees come and go too often. We need to find a way to nourish and grow what we have, rather than rotating through employees so quickly.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Currently, I love working remotely. I actually feel more connected to my team this way. I'm happier and more focused, and get even more done throughout the day. I have a much better work/life balance.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Remote work should be available for all employees. Work hours are too long; this leads to burn-out and people leave the company. Offices are opened when they're only half-formed. NY is the only office that has HR, IT, Ops, etc. There is constant miscommunication because Ops are spread too thin.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Phaidon spends too much money on alcohol incentives. The incentive is the commission check. Work hours are too long. If an employee can't get their work done in 8 hours, they're not working efficiently Remote work should be an option for all employees. Especially given the recent COVID-19 outbreak.
