I love the associates I work with and how we interact with each other.

The people I work with.

It was very straight forward and the questions were easy to answer.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Not listening to the employees and finding out what the customers truly want.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The history of the company and how long they have been in the business.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Our associates are paid $4.00 less/hour than starting employees at Target that have no experience.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

We could work together better as a team and have each other's back in the face of unknown circumstances.

What are some of the best things about your team?

They are the best! They work hard and offer terrific customer service! They educate themselves and give their all at work every time.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

How they are willing to try new things all the time to see if they will work or if the customers respond. They are willing to take risks.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Our closest competitor's starting pay is $12/hour for people with no experience. We barely pay above minimum wage so people leave us for the competition all the time.

What are some of the best things about your team?

The people I work with are just the best people. They are hard workers and funny. They are good with the customers and are good at their jobs.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The people in the home office kept making decisions that we think are not productive and make little to no sense. It is almost like they have not idea what we actually do in the stores.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Learning what really happens in the stores, maybe asking the employees who work with customers every day. We hear what the customers say and what they want and no one in the home office ever asks all of us.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Listening to the associates that work on the front line. A lot of decisions get made in the home office that don't make sense or will cost money. We know what customers want or don't want, what they are asking for. So stop and ask us!!

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Our company doesn't seem to know what direction to go and they absolutely don't seem to want the opinions of the very people on the front lines who could make a difference in this company surviving or failing. Those of us who work with the customers every single day and know their opinions.
