Connect the online store content more to the content of the former stores. Fun finds at low prices and lots of sales. Your current price points seem to be inflated so even the sales price is too high for the merchandise. You cannot compete with wayfair and etc with your current content/pricing .

    Always expected to do more. Rarely get a raise. Bonuses don't reflect individual performance and too weighted on company performance metrics. Hours vs pay are not balanced.

  • Was pretty bad, worked 50 hour weeks for months straight. Getting better. I'm working 50 hours per week, every other week now.

  • Depends on the department. For me, not very good.

    The corporate headquarters (home office to us) is fun, friendly, and fast-paced. There are a lot of fun activities throughout the year including merchandise give-aways, company lunches, associate appreciate weeks and free food trucks.

  • A Pier 1 store isn't broken down into teams or departments as far as work assignments. Every employee knows the store and can help a customer in any area.

  • Happens sometimes. Usually in a reorganization to avoid layoffs. Sometimes to backfill for a position without incurring increases in budget.
