Piper was in trouble in 2001, the employees took a 6% pay cut, now in 2017 I am 1% to the good. in sixteen years we have had 7% pay increase. unless you are in the right click.
almost never unless you have a buddy in a position that can and will get you more pay
How common is it to switch departments or teams at Piper?
Almost daily, their term is flexing. Mainly you have completed your job, now go and do someone else's job. The good workers are abused, While the lazy are not held accountable
you work from department to department they call it being flexible good workers are moved around to carry the lazy non workers

we work all the time, and wanted to work more
what social life they make you work 50 to 60 hrs. a week

In the past at the end of the year they would over hire to get the schedule out, then do a mass layoff. Over the past couple they have got better about not doing this.

solely based on friends and family. If you do not fall in to these two category's done expect any of the good paying jobs.
its a Buddy system at piper. If you are the Buddy of the right person in management you will receive promotions and pay increases if you are not in the click then good luck getting anywhere at Piper

Remove all the management and replace them
I would remove several directors, managers, and supervisors that are not qualified for their position. I would remove the buddy system. and only hire personnel qualified for their position .

No raises, No promotions unless in the right clicks, The buddy system

Morale is the lowest I have seen. The favoritism, buddy system, and nepotism are the major promotion path. People who are really qualified for positions are not getting them. And it appears age has a lot to do with promotions. the older you are the less likely you are to be promoted

They give you eleven paid vacation days a year, which they normally want you to work, and a turkey at Christmas

Although Piper's pay is not in accordance with the national, it is one of the best in the area.

On average, for the type of work way below the national average. Unless you are a buddy or relative of some one higher in the company, then it's petty good
What's the vibe like in the Product dept at Piper? How many hours are you working?
Average 10 hour days and a lot of weekends. But it is never enough for management. Management tries to threatened to put the team on mandatory overtime. Oh not mandatory ( Required)
What's the Product team like at Piper?
Most could care less about the company, or it's goal. It's all about themselves. But that's mostly generation Y & X . The older works realize that if the company meeting it's goal, they will have a paycheck next year.

horrible, most leadership is in position due the buddy system. There is no set standards company wide. what is permitted in one department may not be in another. And a lot of favoritism
