How's the vacation policy at PRODEGE, LLC?

You are told during the interview that vacation is unlimited but then your manager can tell you anything they want. I felt it was very inflexible compared to what was sold.
The "unlimited PTO" is ENTIRELY dependent on your manager. Hopefully your manager values work-life balance...

There are many Sales positions that are remote but with offices in Los Angeles (2), San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, London, Berlin and India there are plenty of options to come in if needed
TONS of remote positions. Probably too many, actually.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at PRODEGE, LLC?
More diversity in management. For the existing managers to solicit feedback rather than their open channel policy. Regularly check in with employees rather than campaigning for and advertising that it is a Best Place To Work.
More events where cross departmental interaction is required. We have lots of fun, but events tend to be less fun because some departments don't participate at all and others will just hang out with each other. They would go from 3.5 stars to 5 stars if we did more things that required more interaction, especially if it were across all departments.
What do people at PRODEGE, LLC think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
I didn't find him personable and did not get the impression that any of my immediate team liked him. The leaders are mostly older white men so if you like that then you may do fine.
Chuck is great! He's a very buttoned-up type of guy, but still let's the employees have plenty of fun. Very transparent about the business. In the "smarts/leadership: category I give him 10/10. In the "inspirational" category I give him 7/10. Overall, 9/10 for sure. Great leader!
How's the work life balance at PRODEGE, LLC?
Not good if you arent one of the people on a higher salary. You can be working around the clock for very little.
Very good work life balance. People work hard, but most are able to get work done in a reasonably average 8-9 hour day. And the business continues to grow. It's very rare that anyone needs to work 10+ hour days or is called/texted on weekends for work issues. Seems like every department head is very flexible about letting people work from home when family needs come up.
How does PRODEGE, LLC handle HR issues?
HR is very good at Prodege. Super professional and supportive. Discreet when appropriate and always looking to help.
How does PRODEGE, LLC make decisions around promotions?
Some are clearly merit based, but not all. Several promotions in 2017 have made little sense - basically giving people VP or SVP titles who do little more than what most Manager or Sr Manager employees are doing. It's definitely a department-by-department thing. Seems that the most over-bloated promotions are on the Product team.

Culture at Prodege is top notch. I've worked at my share of great start ups in the Los Angeles area and I really think the HR team at Prodege does more for the employ than anywhere else I've ever seen. They truly put in extra effort to make the employees excited to come to work and excited about their contribution to the company. All the great perks - free lunch, insane selection of snacks and beverages, gym membership, fun team building events, great social atmosphere, opportunities to play team sports in Silicon Beach Sports League, really nice/fun people, etc.
