Public Storage Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Don't know, haven't been here long enough to access all the benefits.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 6 days ago

Stock options and potential to generate long term wealth

Review from Executive Dept · Posted 9 days ago

Nothing the company does not offer much when it comes to perks

Posted 12 days ago

Vacation/PTO, Flexibility (WFH), Healthcare Benefits

Review from IT Dept · Posted 12 days ago

It is highly competitive and equitable

Review from HR Dept · Posted 15 days ago

The benefits is the best part. Granted pay is fine not complaining but could be slightly better. However the benefits most definitely makes up for it

401k match after a year

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 15 days ago

My personal pay is above the threshold, and our dental and visual are reasonably priced.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 15 days ago

I'm grateful I was kept at my same pay rate when I transferred over with Simply Self Storage. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to afford to stay with Public at the rate they start at.

Review from Customer Success Dept

As I opted out of the benefits I really am not versed in what they all offer

Review from Sales Dept

All the pay, health insurance , 401k and our life insurance benefits.

Review from Operations Dept

Yearly bonus and yearly raise

Review from Customer Support Dept

Paid time off and sick time are seperate

Review from Customer Support Dept

The best part for me is Medical

Review from Sales Dept

I'm happy with it all but the 401K is the biggest perk in my opinion. PS is willing to invest in my future. That's a big deal to me.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Respectfully in terms of the hourly rate it is the lowest I've accepted in a decade. Life is expensive and with inflation and changes to the economic climate I believe this job is deserving of higher hourly rate.

You want to pay people just above minimum wage but want them to be a debt collector and a maintenance person, those positions are worth more money. If your employees are compensated they are happier, not these contests that only 1 person gets paid

Are pay isnt the greatest

Review from Sales Dept · Posted 13 days ago

I feel undervalued because Public Storage doesn't pay a liveable wage. You expect us to do all of this labor for free. You would pay vendor to do what we do. But why do that when you can cheat your workers having them do it with no bonuses. The thing that would make me feel better is a better raise.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 14 days ago

Everyone should at least get a little bit of a raise to make it $20 or $1 raise. There are some of us who go beyond expectations and do stuff that other people don't do or supposed to do.

Review from Sales Dept · Posted 14 days ago

Because of my role and resposibilities as a property manager, I feel low balled. Compensation should definitely be more then it should or at least a pay increase after the 90 days of working

Review from Customer Support Dept · Posted 14 days ago

Employees need raises the amout being paid for anyone under being a Dm is what teenagers are making its 2026 the business is making money but the employees that arebhands on every day is making pennies not enough to maintain a household . Better pay is needed, to much physical work for pennies

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted 15 days ago

Not enough money being exposed to mold and dead animals. Entitled customer threats. Racist managers that let white coworkers get away with stealing time and money

Review from Admin Dept

Yes. Seems like as a front line employer, speaking in my district, we are placed as an after thought and he needs are not a priority

Review from Customer Success Dept

Work compensation balance. Too much work for the pay

Review from Customer Support Dept

I feel undervalued because the workload and expectations do not match the compensation. Incentives should reflect employee performance and effort, not NPS scores that are often impacted by unresolved corporate and operational issues outside of site staff control.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Any recent pay increases have been washed away by the recent changes in the cost of living - price of gas and utilities... just subsiding now.

Review from Operations Dept

I feel other companies pay a better wage (extra space storage, toy locker, ect.) pay around 17 to 20 an hour. I also feel we do a lot in the heat for little compensation.

Review from Admin Dept

Sometimes I feel as though I am pulling the weight of 4 people. I just believe that the pay is not compatible with today's cost of living expenses

Review from Customer Success Dept

A better living wage for the work expected and higher tiers for levels of pm/a property pm/ktp. Bring back the better bonus systems to make it attainable rather than based on numbers you cannot achieve due to low satisfaction scores due to public storage never fixing problems for customers

Review from Customer Success Dept

The "stronger" employees often get used to "clean up" behind the other property managers and carry the weight of upholding PS facility standards.

Review from Sales Dept

I believe we are covering a lot of grounds for our compensation. I do enjoy the work that I do, but it is much more than what was in the job description. Sometimes the workload feels like it should be handled by 2-3 people but it is only one person handling it.

Review from Customer Success Dept

The job is much too physically demanding not to be paid $22/hr min and we don't have enough pto to fully recover much of the time.

Review from Sales Dept

More money hourly would be good

Review from Operations Dept

Compensation/pay does not match with cost of living in this area. Employees need a part tome job or side job to be ablw to afford living in this area.
