Public Storage Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I'm grateful I was kept at my same pay rate when I transferred over with Simply Self Storage. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to afford to stay with Public at the rate they start at.

The 401 K program is great

Review from Sales Dept · Posted 17 days ago

I'm happy with it all but the 401K is the biggest perk in my opinion. PS is willing to invest in my future. That's a big deal to me.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Review from Sales Dept

The salary. The benefits and holidays are absolutely horrendous.

Review from Finance Dept

It is open and easily understood.

Fair consistent compensation with regular bonus payouts

Review from HR Dept

The salary is competitive with the market

Review from Finance Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Work compensation balance. Too much work for the pay

Review from Customer Support Dept · Posted 2 days ago

I feel undervalued because the workload and expectations do not match the compensation. Incentives should reflect employee performance and effort, not NPS scores that are often impacted by unresolved corporate and operational issues outside of site staff control.

Review from Customer Support Dept · Posted 5 days ago

Any recent pay increases have been washed away by the recent changes in the cost of living - price of gas and utilities... just subsiding now.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 10 days ago

I feel other companies pay a better wage (extra space storage, toy locker, ect.) pay around 17 to 20 an hour. I also feel we do a lot in the heat for little compensation.

Review from Admin Dept · Posted 12 days ago

Sometimes I feel as though I am pulling the weight of 4 people. I just believe that the pay is not compatible with today's cost of living expenses

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted 12 days ago

A better living wage for the work expected and higher tiers for levels of pm/a property pm/ktp. Bring back the better bonus systems to make it attainable rather than based on numbers you cannot achieve due to low satisfaction scores due to public storage never fixing problems for customers

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted 15 days ago

The "stronger" employees often get used to "clean up" behind the other property managers and carry the weight of upholding PS facility standards.

Review from Sales Dept · Posted 16 days ago

I believe we are covering a lot of grounds for our compensation. I do enjoy the work that I do, but it is much more than what was in the job description. Sometimes the workload feels like it should be handled by 2-3 people but it is only one person handling it.

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted 17 days ago

The job is much too physically demanding not to be paid $22/hr min and we don't have enough pto to fully recover much of the time.

Review from Sales Dept · Posted 17 days ago

Compensation/pay does not match with cost of living in this area. Employees need a part tome job or side job to be ablw to afford living in this area.

Review from Customer Support Dept · Posted 18 days ago

More money hourly would be good

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 18 days ago

The responsibility we have to be the main contact to get revenue to this company should celebrated. I think PS would attract PM's of higher quality if they were paid more and increase productivity of existing PM's. I am willing to do more for higher pay. Pay scale needs to match cost of living

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted 18 days ago

Pay feels like it could be more as for the jobs we do to keep storage great and keep customers coming

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted 18 days ago

“At times I feel undervalued when the workload, responsibilities, and expectations increase without recognition or compensation reflecting those contributions. More consistent appreciation, growth opportunitie

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted 18 days ago

Adding nonstop new expectations, without any pay raise or something insulting such as .50 cents. The worse is, no recognition and wrong employees are rewarded.

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 18 days ago

Rate of pay should be a little bit higher to match life. We also do do quite a bit of work other than the office.

Review from Customer Support Dept · Posted 18 days ago

I seen employees that have no bussiness winning awards win awards whatever criteria yoy guys using to award mediocracy needs to be checked & held accountable, keeping a property clean, assisting karens & maintaing issues from become 1* scenarios should be appriciated, getting exploited and underpaid

Review from Customer Success Dept · Posted 18 days ago

Property specific- some properties take more work and going above and beyond to make sure things are as it should. No recognition is given for that. A mare virtual badge doesn't do much. More monetary compensation would be better.

Review from Sales Dept · Posted 18 days ago

Everyone keeps getting a raise and i keep being told that am maxed out in pay when i work really hard. Have not had a single raise since starting with PS

Review from Sales Dept · Posted 18 days ago

Employees should earn wages based on their time with the company and not just performance and pto time should also be accrued much faster or have a set time for vacation periods
