Publix Super Markets Interviews Employee Reviews

What did you like most about the interview process?

They hired me and paid me decent for my experience

everything is easy and understanding

The manager at the time

Staying focused on my future, and caring about my life

People were kind and welcoming

Quick and it was informative

it was a typical interview proccess, they noticed my background and actually hired me on for a different area compared to what i was called for. it turned out best in the end because i would not have enjoyed the alternative.

Happiness at work, learning day by day

Interviewing with my direct manager

It's face to face, and the questions were easy

Review from Customer Support Dept

The store manager was easy to talk to

The guy gave me a chance to work in the bakery when i didnt have any experience

Very informative and professional get up

That you apply with your availibility

Review from Sales Dept

That there were people from multiple levels and affiliated departments that were involved in the interview process.

I liked that I was asked relevant questions when I was hired. I wasn't asked dumb questions like, "What's your favorite animal?" I was asked, "What are your goals at this company?" and "What would you do if this situation happened while you were working?"

The interview was one of the only things good about this company

Manager was nice and informative

Do not remember i have been with Publix for a long time

Review from Customer Support Dept

The questions are given fairly

What would you improve about your company's interview process?

Never look down on a person trying to make them feel like they are beneath your feet.

There's nothing to improve. Because it will only make things worse.

Be honest about the job responsibility and future growth potential. Publix hires you with a job title, and leads you to believe there is potential growth but not at all true

Actually tell the truth instead of making false promises

Review from Sales Dept

My store is so desperate for new hires because of high turnover that they barely even interview you. They just give you a pass and see if you work out. So sad and says a lot about their priorities.

Be truthful with potential workers

Review from Sales Dept

by checking their email and the job applications

Review from Sales Dept

They should always check references

Review from Sales Dept

Be honest about what people are signing up for.

Review from Product Dept

Not intimidating those who are new into finding work or are a rehire.

Review from Sales Dept

The store manager doesnt judge anyone therefor we have incompetent people being hired and then that affects the store. Publix is also known for never firing anyone, which is a huge problem
