Mr. Richard R. Yuse, also known as Rick, has been Vice President at Raytheon Company since March 2010. In his 31-year career at Raytheon, Mr. Yuse held a variety of leadership roles, principally at Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business, including Vice President of IDS' Missile Defense business area, where he was responsible for leading such programs as the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS), Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) and the Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX). Since joining Raytheon in 1976, Mr. Yuse held positions of increasing responsibility on a variety of programs. These assignments ranged from system architecture and design to flight test director and program manager. Mr. Yuse has been assigned to a number of diverse programs and locations during his career, such as Cobra Dane in Shemya, Alaska; the Ballistic Missile EarlyWarning System (BMEWS) upgrade programs in Fylingdales, U.K., and Thule, Greenland; PAVE PAWS early warning radars at Cape Cod, Mass., and Beale Air Force Base, Calif.; the ship-based Cobra Judy system and HAVE STARE intelligence radar programs at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif.; and the THAAD Flight Test Program at theWhite Sands Missile Range, N.M., where he served as Test Director. Mr. Yuse was responsible for the Sensor Netting and Concurrent Test, Training and Operations (CTTO) new business initiatives. He served as Vice President and Deputy General Manager of RTSC, where he was responsible for day-today operations and ensuring RTSC's operational excellence. He serves as a Director at Raytheon Australia Pty Ltd. Mr. Yuse earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. He is also a graduate of Raytheon Advanced Management Program.
