It I'd the least enjoyable job experience of my life. The environment is toxic and management is not concerned with how the majority of the employees feel. There is only one employee the GM says he cannot afford to lose and that one is a self-confessed thief. You have to curse at GM to get respec
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Better more qualified people. Not people hired without interviews because the person doing the hiring is not qualified to do so.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Being a leader and not be told by employers what to do. Take charge of hotel and not let certain low level staff run the place through threats and cursing at him.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We get no stock or other benefits. No benefits at all, like paid sick days, paid vacation or health care. Up until 2 weeks ago the only raised we got were those mandated by the state to keep us st minimum wage.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
First off, we have no company meetings. In 3.5 years of working here we have had one, which was over 3 years ago. Hiring quality workers who aren't lazy, untrained, and many of whom use drugs while on the job. A blind eye is turned by the GM when problems are reported.
