High skill with low ego. People are genuinely strong technically but still open to being challenged and questioned. Hard problems get solved through discussion rather than in isolation, and that combination is harder to find than either trait on its own.
Getting new problems to solve. The company embraces new technology rather than waiting for it to become established, so the work is constantly evolving and I am always learning something new. That challenge and variety are a big part of what makes me excited to start the day
I own my work end to end, but I never feel like I am left on my own. The direction is clear, and when I run into something outside my area of expertise, there is always someone willing to work through the problem with me rather than simply pointing me to documentation.
They give a lot of autonomy. I have been trusted to own initiatives end to end, including making decisions on the tooling and overall approach. As long as the reasoning is clear, leadership trusts and supports those decisions. That level of ownership and trust is a big part of what keeps the work in
