Hiring people that have the right skill set is important. Many people are over qualified and many are under qualified because of the recruiting process.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Many team members with no prior experience are paid more when hired externally. Men are often paid more than women for the same role and less experience.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Transparency, being honest and providing valuable feedback. I was told by a previous DVP that I was too smart and to be successful I had to dumb myself down.
