People are 100% authentically themselves, and every level. We chat about what we're watching on TV, our families, vacations, etc. People want to get to know you as a person, while also valuing your opinion regarding the work we have on our plate.
The company is full of very smart people that are straight-forward and don't have hidden agendas. People work very hard at the office, but all leave a reasonable time - so good work/life balance. Also, people are very authentic and down-to-earth - they know how to work hard with a sense of humor.
People at Roku are pushed to take on a lot and have ownership of their work - which creates a positive, proactive environment.
